The crookedest street in the world. I love it! I drove down it once in rental, stick shift Honda. That was interesting! Looks like the Elise fits nicely.

There is a street in San Francisco that is technically more crooked... Vermont St in Potero Hill has more and tighter turns than Lombard.

Exchanged waves w/ an AR Elise heading Northbound on GG bridge (coming back from a sweet NorCal drive--Thanks Greg & John!). California edition? Didn't get a good look.

Also, I've seen an '08 AW SC Elise (I think. Its the pearlescent white) parked near my Apt in the inner sunset a couple, three times now. Is this anyone on the boards? Killer looking car. Would love to get a look at the engine compartment sometime.

Spotted Monday Nov 2nd. Northbound Hwy 17. Orange '06 Exige.

We were in my wife's Cayman S, she was driving. She had to pass you on the right becuase you were going slow in the left lane. You were hitting your brakes into corners at 50mph with 6 car lengths in front of you? I drive an '06 exige and you can pretty much coast down the hill with no brakes needed in corners.

Granted it may be a new car to you, and it's your first time driving it over Hwy 17. If that is the case, then by all means ignore my comments. Regardless, it was a beautiful looking car.

Saw the SY yellow elise w/ black thin stripes on 101N in MV this morning again

Then saw the rover powered (non fed) silver elise s2 on 101N getting on 92W. Spotted the car a couple years back as well... rare in the US!

The Silver S1 was likely Adrian's Honda powered car. And, yes rare.

Maybe a typo on your part, but it was an S2 not an S1 - dual "larini-like" exhausts out the black grill in the back, the soft top extended over the roll hoop, euro tail lights, no side reflectors, etc...

The silver S1 that comes to gglc autox's is a familiar car too!

Yup, the sliver S1 that Kiyoshi was referring to is Adrian's, the same one that has autocross with us. I personally haven't seen or heard of a early Euro S2 around... nice find. Do recall several years ago running into a owner that brought one over from the UK. Was trying to sell it before returning back home.

The owner must live or work around san mateo area. 2-3 years ago we both came up to the a stop sign at the same exact second in the whole foods shopping center off hillsdale. I was in my elise and we waved at each other and it took me a minute to realize it was Euro spec. First I noticed the exhaust - thought it was custom (larini), but it was stock for that car. Then noticed the yellow blinking dot turn signal inside the brake light, thinking it was a custom job as some people swap them out. But what sealed the deal realizing it was a 111S was the soft top over the roll hoop. Then all the other details were obvious to me (euro gas cover, no reflectors, etc etc)
