when in Sept? I'm sure we can arrange some sort of informal get together about that time, hopefully we'll have a couple meets sooner than that though.

Nice meeting you and your wife, Chris. If you liked that, try it in a Lotus with sticky tires.

i am already thinking about getting some tires for the stock wheels and coming out and giving it a try. maybe i could have you drive mine with me riding to see what it is like first.
it was amazing though. what a rush

what tires did you recommend again?

If your going to have specific autocross tires for the Elise, the only real choice are Hoosier A6's. Tell you what, though. I have some older tires I was about to replace for my car. They still have lots of runs in them, but they are a couple of years old so a bit less sticky. They still would be a whole lot stickier than street tires, though. Assuming you can get 205/245's on your stock rims, you can have them when my new tires come in.

I think others have. The only issue would be the rear.

ok. thanks. ill browse the forum and see if anyone got them to work and if that to do some tweaking to make it happen. i really appreciate it. I think im going to try and make one of the events here in the future and see how poor of a time i can put up. lol. im sure i am going to look like a loser going so slow, but i cant wait to give it a try.

Edit: i just browsed around and seen a few people that have the 245 on the rear and they dont have any problems. are they a 40 or 45 profile?

Thank you again.

hey- don't feel bad about being slow at the autocross... you have to start somewhere.

I'm going to get my Lot today... well leaving to Portland to get it tomorrow. So, tomorrow PM there will be a new Lot in town. I can honestly say that this is the first car I have driven in some time that I actually loved. Let's hope it stays that way- lol

It rained today, so you didn't miss much. Maybe you can get my tires for the 17th and see what you think.
