FT. LEWIS AREA LOTUS OWNERS!!!

Alright, I know your out there. I drive the mag blue elise that gets seen VERY often on post. I know there is a red one with a wing on it. I have heard that there is a silver one and a chrome orange one out there too. Identify yourselves and let all get together some time. Go for a drive or something. Bleu!! Of course your invited. You can school us on how to really drive a pure sports car.

C'mon guys or gals!! Lets get together!

Think you gotta catch them.. probably arn't on the forum or I think they would be posting. I haven't seen the silver one in a few months.. so he could have PCS'd or Deployed.

I figured I would give it a shot. I will chase them down if I see them though. When did you see the red one on north fort? I might run up there tomorrow and see if I can find it.

I think the Red one is RB. I think his name here is Truballa or something like that. his car is pretty sweet. Turbocharged too. i am sure that his car is one of the fastest in a straight line in the state.

I'd love to get together guys. I get back in mid December and will keep the insurance off on the Lotus until the PCA day in Jan. Then it goes back off until about April. Maybe March if the weather is compelling.

There are a couple of drive's / rallies that you should all know about by now, but I'll fill you in if you don't.

The British Sports car club does a rally from Fife to Bend OR. Very scenic, not a race, great drive to take your partner on and share a picnic near Mt Rainier. The Lotus club, ELCC, does a drive through Rainier as well. I have never been in the town/country for that, but intend to be this year. Andy Keck, heads that up. GREAT group of guys. the crew on 6speed does a run around the scenic byway of HWY 20 to Winthrop to Wenatchee, then back via hwy 2. I typically do a run up to Mt Baker once the roads are clear but with the mountain still covered in snow. The Nuksack (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) water falls are raging then and are great.

I don't think its his car, it didn't have the single exhaust comming out the back. Besides I don't think he has post access and he told me he works at the South Hill Mall. I wonder where that dood has gone off to.. haven't heard from him in a while.

Nuksack, dude where's your mind at right now?

I took a drive a few weeks back when it was still topless weather. It was not really twisty but it was a pretty nice drive I thought. Took Hwy 7 to morton then 508 west. then took back roads to centralia then hwy 507 back up to Yelm (with lots of detours in search of twisties) Tono road, going into bucoda is a lot of fun. there are no driveways or houses, very little traffic, locals say no police, lots of sweepers.

All in all it was a nice drive. Pretty smooth roads with light traffic. It took about 3 hours to complete the loop.

The 101 loop around the Peninsula is a lot of fun but it takes ALL DAY. leave early and get home late. When you get up to the north side cut off 101 onto 113 then take 112. That is a sports car's dream road......HOLY HELL! I will hit that again but in the lotus for sure. Saturn vue just dont handle like I think it should. lol.

Another drive I took was to Mt. saint helens. The road is rough but it is turn after turn all the way there. I took NF-25 out of randle. The traffic was VERY light and did not see a single park ranger all day long.

If I was going to make an all day drive I would do the 101 loop. If it were summer I would do the Mt. Saint Helens run but this time I would go all the way through the park then take I-5 back north to get home.

Well now you have seen some of the things I have in mind if/when we all get together. Feel free to share some of your favorite routes.

Happy Driving.

Flame thrower the fun way would be to get a turbo with no cats, a slightly rich tune and a blow off valve. Rev the piss out of the car in between shifts and you'll shoot fire. That's how I do it with my mr2.

I am glad that the NW crew is growing. Lots of good roads in Washington. Destination highways is a good one.
