Weird - aside from the mountains, there isn't much snow to speak of here in Colorado. We've only had maybe 3-5 inches total so far this winter here in the Springs.

The traces of the great Christmas snow storm are almost gone.

That sucks mang, you live in a higher altitude? There is practically no slush except where there was build up from snow plows and such in puyallup/tacoma area.

20 inches of snow in Boise this December. Normal for the whole year is 15 inches.

All I can say is go out and hug your gas guzzling SUV. Can you imagine how cold it would be if there wasn't Global Warming?

That what I always loved about living in Colorado Springs... 6 inches of snow one day, 60 degrees and sunny the next.

Lots of sun and a high of 43. There is snow on the ground up there.
Yep (for those who didn't know), there really is a South Park!

I'm gonna hit the kart track today. It's too nice!

And like Slaughtr says, this time of year you never know from one day to the next what the weather will do-you basically have to carry a trunkful of clothes as you drive around town.

No snow here (Bellevue), other side of the lake. I'm going for a drive!

Yeah it melted off by noon.

I don't put the lotus out in the snow. I learned a hard and expensive lesson. I have other cars for the snow.

The mighty Prius.

My other car really is a snow car, or at least that's why I bought it. I used to live on the east coast near Boston. We got serious snow fall there so my AWD Audi Quattro made sense. Out here in Seattle area the weather is so moderate I feel comfortable driving the Elise year round with only minor exceptions when it gets too cold.

And as has been said before, the real limiting factor is not the car, so much as the tires. Well that and the other drivers, people out here have no concept of how to drive in snow (a side effect of having so little of it).

Come to think of it, I need to make a new tire decision soon. My A048's are getting worn. I'm considering new tires, either Yoko Advan S4 (all season ultra high performance), another set of A048s or Toyo R888 or R1. I might just grab a pair of rear A048s and put a full set decision off for a bit.

The mighty Prius.. lol
Remember the night that snow was falling in thick flakes? I got stuck on a 2 mile stretch of road for 4 hours. The Freeway was so backed up so I took the backroads which were equally backed up. Soon as the road started clearing up, I was hungry, tried to turn into a wendy's and the truck's rear slid out sideways and I was blocking two lanes with the side of my truck. Luckly people backed up to allow me to backup into the snow mound in the center turning lane for traction. Going forward or attempting to turn to straiten out the truck proved to be pointless on a thick sheet of ice.

It was 81 and sunny here on Saturday. Now it's 30 and we have freezing rain.

BUT It's going back to about 70 by Thursday. Texas weather is weird.
