There was some attempt to make it snooty, in order to attract the rarer and more expensive vehicles, and we have had several multimillion dollar cars show up. But the truth is it's just car guys that like cars showing up to BS and drink coffee and check out each others cars. For some it's a rare chance to actually get their car out of the garage, for others it's just another day of driving. =)
