Arrow The Winding Road- January Drives

A friend from another forum asked me to post these here.

The Winding Road Drivers' Club is organizing 2 drives in January:

Snowflake Special III
25 January - Meeting at Luther Burbank Park, Mercer Island
The Winding Road - Road Haps (Events) | Sun, 25 Jan 2009: Snowflake Special III
"Oh the weather outside is frightful..." Well, let's hope not. As long as we don't have to contend with the fluffy white crap we'll enjoy our annual "In The City" drive. Just be sure to button your jacket, snug your cap, and wear your gloves, oh, and if the seats are heated, turn 'em on.

Squishing Jack Frost
31 January - Meeting at Warren Magnuson Park, Seattle
The Winding Road - Road Haps (Events) | Sat, 31 Jan 2009: Squishing Jack Frost
It seems Jack Frost has been busy this winter. I've just received word that he'll be out relaxing along some of our better local roads. The thing is, Jack is fond of the Metropolitan life style, so he'll be "in the city." I think it's time we tell the prickly little guy what we think of his antics. Warm up your tires and prepare to hit the road in the Saturday edition of our annual "In The City" drive.

That was me, I'm a big fan of your routes for a few years now. The Lotus community in the Northwest may not be huge but were all about doing drives like the ones you set up. We also may drag along some of our non Lotus friends

Is it to cover the cost of the food?

Lunch (Personal Pizza, Grinder, or Salad and a Medium Fountain Drink) is also included in this pricing
Guess so. So there you have it. Although, that doesn't explain why the driver ($45) is more expensive than the passenger ($10).

Yes, a portion covers the cost of food. In fact, for anyone who hasn't been on a drive The Winding Road Drivers' Club, all you pay for is food. A portion also covers my significant costs in planning and pre-running the route, as well as preparing and printing the route books. Some folks value the effort required to make these happen. Some folks don't. I appreciate both takes on the matter.
