Question Colorado Lotus Owners...

Are there any members/guests of this website that live in the Colorado area? I am getting my Elise in April and wanted to see if there was a club or just a couple folks that may want to put one together...

I used to live in Colorado Springs and I go back there all the time for visits. Can I be an affiliated member?

There's LOCO (Lotus Coloroado), the sponsor of this year LOG (Lotus Owner's Group) meeting in Aspen this August.

http://www.lotuscarclub.org/

Nice folks with lots of vintage Lotus cars (and race cars!) And there are a lot of Elise owners all over the front range. I don't get down tot he Springs very often, though...might head through on my way down to Pueblo Motorsports Park this spring. That's about the only place to run on a track anymore

HOLY CRAP!!! Mike actually came out of his trolling status to make a post lol.

tcnohead really there are quite a few owners in Colorado, there are rumors of more than the ones i even know about lol. LoCo (as listed above) is a good community of people... lots of knowledge and the like, and they normally put together a nice meeting. A little older and more Esprit owners than elise/exige the last meeting i made it to.

Mike and I are in the springs, there are 2 or 3 silver (Tt and Gg) ones I have seen around, and i hear theres another KG one... i have yet to personally confirm it, there are rumors of a CO elise, mikes is red, and there is another red one as well, and then teh AP I saw twice... I would say there are maybe 10-12 for sure in the springs as that is where your from it looks like. and probably at least that many in Denver and the suburbs

PM ill square u away

Colorado Lotus Owners - Cont....

Wow! A larger response than I thought.

I actually found this link for those interested:
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Lotus_Colorado/

I didnt look into it at all but will do so.

Really, I wouldnt mind getting together on a bi-weekly/monthly basis to do different drives. We live in a state that has an inifinate amount of scenery and curvey roads so the fun will never stop. We wouldnt necessarily have to join a club, just announce it on this webite that we should meet up somewhere and go for a Sunday drive.

Happy to know that we would have a good size convoy going too

WELCOME! Our next meeting is January 30th. Location to be announced on the Yahoo! Groups site. (Sign up at Lotus_Colorado-subscribe@yahoogroups.com) We do 5-6 drives during prime driving season, and several spontaneously when the weather is blessed (like last Saturday).

Our meetings are 85% social and very little "business." As Tom pointed out, we're hosting the Lotus Owners Gathering next August (24-27) in Aspen/Snowmass Village, so it's an opportunity for a fantastic meet with incredible driving roads all 'round. We have four drives/tours already scoped and tested, with more possible -- plus make-up-your-own tours all over the Rockies. Golden Gate is supporting our LOG with a suspension of the WCLM for next year. I expect a ton of GGLC members (hope so anyway, we plan to put 'em all to work).

We rotate meeting locations so everyone is accomodated, and we have specials as well. Detailers Paradise is one of our sponsoring hosts and held a great detailing seminar and catered lunch for us last summer (where most of us met Jon for the first time after his Iraq tour).

We also have a bunch of exceptional shows, including the Colorado English Motoring Conclave that routinely draws 500+ British cars (and bikes). The very high-end is also represented here with the Morgan Adams Concours and Tour. Airplanes and cars that will knock your socks off.

Colorado has everything except ocean and seashore. Even 52 14,000-ft. peaks, many of which make spectacular backdrops for car photos on our drives. Come join us!

Nuther CO Elise owner weighing in for the count. (Longmont/Boulder) New to the car (05 Ardent Red) and am interested in "excercising" it next spring/summer. Would love to be in Aspen in August and will stay tuned to Yahoo group on next meeting. Hopefully Jan 30 will be "decent" weather.

Just got a titanium '05 Elise shipped up from Phoenix last week. So I'll be up for any drives / gtg's.

We have a group of 1 BRP (mine), one CO (Chris's) and one Yellow (Jeff's) that autocross regularly. www.rmsolo.org is the place to sign up. PM or e-mail me if you have any questions.

I'd be interested in track days or autocrosses, but mountain drives and purely social gatherings aren't of as much interest.

LOCO seems dead. Only one post in a year? Maybe I have the wrong site. Anyway, I'm next up. Bought an '06 with 6 miles on it. Should arrive in 3 days from SanDiego. Can't wait!

What's up with the LOG27? What's it all about? Worth going?

Did you get it at Ferrari of Denver? If so, I drove that car. Very nice!

I'm going to hit my vacation cap at work at the same time LOG27 comes to Colorado. I have no idea whether or not it'll be worth it, but I'm going. We already have our room reserved. I'm having trouble deciding what to do - should I do the autocross or the tour? It looks like they're the same day. Should I do the track day or not? I autocross all summer, and another one might not be as much fun as seeing some new roads. I love track days, but I only go with groups I really trust and know beforehand.
I don't think there's really a bad choice to be made, I suppose.
