Holy Fuzz Batman

My wife and I drove around CO this weekend. Two routes:

Denver ->Fairplay -> Breck -> Denver

and

Castle Rock -> Palmer Lake -> back to Castle Rock.

I stopped counting the people who were pulled over by the Police once I hit 30. I have never seen that many people stopped in a 2 day period. It was an impressive show of force.

Memorial Day Weekend... start of summer... one of the most dangerous weekends on the road.

I drove I-40 to and from Knoxville from Nashville this weekend and didn't see a single person pulled over. I couldn't believe it.

The only state trooper I saw was the one who pulled up beside me wanting to race

The Chicago area had 6-7 troopers on every expressway and tollway I used over the weekend. I also saw one roadblock checking for seatbelts.

I must have been involved in at least 7 high speed chases this weekend- the cops were everywhere!

Seriously though- I didnt even drive that much this weekend and I did see them everywhere. It seemed to work because everyone I saw was driving the speed limit.

And Hip Hop Festival weekend in South Beach, making Miami an even bigger target. I got ticketed for running a yellow light this weekend.

Yeah, it was a crazy weekend for Colorado highways. They put out plenty of warnings on the news and radio though.

pulled over 30,045 vehicles
298 DWI's
3,033 seat-belt citations
6,651 speeding tickets

I saw alot yesterday in the Elise down near Parker and Highlands Ranch, all bike cops. Every one of them lowered the radar gun when they saw me and let me by. Awesome!

seems the ONLY complaint about the elise is that i must drive more conservatively in it than my other vehicles.
no stops in nearly 6,000 miles.
of course, i'm no hot-shoe normally.

Last I heard that isn't illegal.
