I'd like to keep it off my record if possible. What's the charge of your lawyer? What process do you have to go through? Do you still have to appear? I might pay it if it's more than lawyer fees and it ends up being a big hassle.

Well, see, that;s the best part. For me, it doesn't cost a dime. He is our company's lawyer and has been a good friend for years. So, he "takes care" of things for me, if you will!

It's taken some time but I may have found representation as well. We may be calling the game warden's credibility into question since it was unlikely he could have seen more than a couple cars make any passing moves double yellow or otherwise. There is no way he witnessed any passes at the front of the group and he was not present at the intersection of 1320 and 1323 when the lead cars crossed there.

In addition to that, did we get some final ruling as to the jurisdiction of a game warden to issue traffic citations? It's not like anyone driving hit a deer. That would be his field of play...

kurt,

According to this site they do.

If you look at section C. Miscellaneous Violations -> then click 7209 Moving vehicle violation, you will be redirected to this site.

From this, I am pretty sure they have the required jurisdiction.

Now, whether the point regarding witnessing all the actions he for which he wrote citations, that's a different matter.

The unfortunate part is that the transportation code does not specify the manner in which a game warden needs to comply in order to properly issue a traffic citation. The guy used his pad for issuing Park violations.

Yeah, it was funny, on the back of the ticket there were explanations of sizes and types of fish that you were allowed to keep and the punishment should not abied by said law.
