I was there this morning for a 5K race on the track...really cool! BUT it was an absolute nightmare to get there and they started late due to everyone being stuck in traffic. There were about 3-4 thousands runners and others there, and I cannot imagine how they will handle it when the crowd will be around 120K + for race day. Leave EARLY to get there!!

I truly hope it will be a great event for us in Austin but this morning gave us a wake up call that the infrastructure to the race is a joke and I hope it won't piss off and turn off all the visitors. You only have one shot to make a good impression!

Definitely as long as its not Friday night for me as I won't get there until late. I suggested it about a month ago but no one bit. Anyway, BBQ or Mexican or whatever the hell's convenient to the track. As long as they have a liquoir license. After all, it'll be more about shooting' the schit with fellow Lotus heads than the food anyway.

I am going but not sure I can meet for dinner as the wife and I are making this a getaway parents weekend. But I am driving the Evora and parking in lot P I think. I am going for the sunday race day only.

The comments about the traffic at the 5K run are concerning. Like you said there will be 120k people there sunday.

One question my wife asked last night was if the facilities were even done. We havent seen any pictures of the place recently. Are they going to have working bathrooms / concession stands / etc? Are the parking lots paved?

PCA is doing a Corral at Salt Lick on Nov 17th (sat night) in Driftwood Texas. Good place to do a Lotus sub-corral
