Harris Hill Road today.. :)

Had fun running with you guys today and it was great to put the Lemons car on track and run 1:49's in it..

I had a pretty good day in the Lotus as well, ended up with a best of 1:30.470 with a theoretical best of 1:29.785. Im pretty sure Ill be in the 1:29's on the next visit, maybe deep into the 1:29's if I get my new tires in time..

PS, Rich watch out Im gunning for ya.. I think only about 4/10ths separate us right now.

Thumbs up +1 H2R track day

Definitely a good track day. IMHO the weather was perfect, enough sun to warm up the track but cool enough to get good performance.

I'll post a few pictures later today of the Lemons car on track and of Geezer's secret BMW performance power enhancement modification.

Did a quick look at data and my hot lap for the day was a 1:33:330 in a session peppered with 1:33's, 1:34's and 1:35's. TBL based on a auto-segmented track was a 1:31:938.

Better look out Chili, another day or two at H2R and I'll be nipping at your heels...

I'm just wondering what Chili Red is going to do when he finally has a lap faster than mine.

Will his life finally be complete? Will he give up all his worldly goods (I'll take his Exige, Doghouse can have his watches, XTN can take the Mini) and attempt to find Xanadu?

You were defiantly kicking some butt out there. I believe you were faster yesterday than I was the first day on the track in that direction.

Right now your my Nemesis and you have set the bar to beat... If I ever get a faster lap than you I will just have to find someone faster and try and beat their times.. I think we need to get Franky and Jefferson out there to set some times for us all to shoot for..

I have a idea that I'm really not the one to worry about and Doghouse is going to end up being faster than both of us.

I'll post a few pictures later today of the Lemons car on track ...
QUOTE]

As promised pictures of the Lemons car at H2R...
Prep'ed and ready to roll..

Name: Lemons 1.JPG
Views: 310
Size: 263.4 KB

Size: 285.0 KB

So time to sing along, "One of these cars is not like the other. One of these car is just not the same..."

And now exclusive blazing track action photos...

After the inital shake down / parts and rust falling off runs the car was turning in blazing 1:49 / 1:50 lap times.

Now if we could only chop everyone's head off, the helmet / roll bar issues would be solved...

Dude... you are soooooooooo going to get yer butt whupped by a goose! That's right, it's got a friggin drag chute biaaatch!

Please note the temp guage you can see mounted just in front of the steering wheel, hooked up but still in it's original packaging, so it can be returned after the race.

I think we have you on looks, but I think you guys will have us on handling... Or car is not particularly fast in a straight line either. I dont think we actually have all of the original 135HP..

You guys suck! Thanks for letting me know you were going out there. I know I could have taken you to school in that piece.

You might get a penalty off the bat for it simply looking too fast.

Hell your wing looks like it cost more than $500 by itself. Get ready for some lap dockage.

Of our factory original 91 HP, we guestimate by the seat of our pants that we're running on about 50 of it.

Fortunately we were able to gut the weight of The Blue Goose down to only three hundred and fifty pounds by building the body out of aluminum foil and filling the tires with helium. We fabricated chassis bracing out of PVC pipe. The wheels are tie-wrapped to the hubs in order to shave the weight of the lug bolts and nuts. Our ECU is velcroed to the passenger side floorboard to lower the center of gravity.

Unfortunately the cage weighs over a thousand pounds. As you can see in the picture, it's fabricated to NASCAR specifications out of solid gold.

Actually we are under budget even if you include the cost of the wing. The wing is a piece of crap from e-bay (Cost about $40 new). The only money we spent on the car was for a tune up (Plugs wires, etc) and a $14 air filter..

Wait until you see the wing in person. Its a real piece of crap and weighs about 30 pounds.. Its more for looks than anything, and I think its actually creating lift.

Make sure those rear springs stay in the perches on the goose...

From what RichS tells me, I do want to come down and check out H2R. Hopefully, TDE does end up doing some events down there.

Don't worry. We employ candy bead necklaces as rear spring travel limiting straps.
