Email the information to Jim Navarro (jplotus@yahoo.com) and he'll get it to the right person.

I think that covers the basics.
You are close . In addition there is a participation fee to cover liabilty insurance and organization expenses. When you apply you will get a package explaining all of these things. I have waited on sending the packages until we have more interest. I will not have a track event without providing liabilty insurance to all participants.

I thought a roll cage was mandatory. If I can either not install a cage or run a Lotus replica I would be in. Buz

Cage is not required so long as the series is time trial based. When and if LCS Texas turns into a wheel to wheel racing series, a cage would be required. The first year will definitely be time trial only, so no cage.

You are absolutely right. First year is to build the series and garner enough interest to go w2w.

Curiously missing from the above list: Toad, Yaudi, LordZ, Doghouse, Morty, xtn, Matt in Houston, petroboy, RichS, cajunairman, Jefferson, codymac, chotto, Scott Bowman... who else? There are some seriously fast people MIA from the current LCS Texas list...so what's up?
I think word of mouth is going to be needed to get others signed up. Most just don't know what it's about. So at the next HPDE spread the word and get the interest sparked. I, along with a couple of others are doing what we can here in H-town.

This can be a lot of fun and can lead to even more good times later on.

I spoke with Yaudi who said he was not interested. You DFW guys need to wok on him to change his mind. It's not so much a matter of proving who's the fastest, all though that does play a part, it's more a matter of doing that which these cars were intended and having fun with them.

Al,
You summed it up. Speaking from my experience w/ LCS West, the events bring together fun, like minded, poeple passionate about the fun little cars. Its as much about the people/friendships you make, helping and chalktalking each other with like cars, as it is about the competition. I hope you guys can get LCS South going.

No problem, with the money you saved by moving to the economically friendly state of Texas, dropping used car rates, and an abundance of new cars yet to be sold now available at our local Lotus dealer, getting yourself back into one in time to enter the LCS should be no problemo.

With that said, looking forward to seeing your name and the new ride of your choice on the list soon

I think the Cayman S should be allowed to run in the stock Elise/NAExige class. The only Lotus I'm really interested in right now is the 2Eleven but I'm not setup here for a track only car yet.

If the Cayman S can run, the MX5 can run too. Sweet.

I might be in for time trial type events.

Just depends on schedule and location.

Would I get a cool sticker?

I like the p-cars but this is the lotus challenge series. No other brand allowed.

check out the lotuschallengeseries.com site for the number plate. Also check out the lotus gear store for logo merchandise on the site as well.
