Dependening on the mods the majority were in Fi. We have seen a major change out here . We started last year with 12 stock, n/a cars and now have only 6 . The majority added sc or bought new cars. JIm

Hello future lcs participants,
I have not forgotten you , I have been busy with our west coast seres. I intend on setting up a meet next week in Texas and I am calling the dealers tomorrow to make those arrangements. I will keep you posted on my progress. We have added 11 new drivers this year and we are averaging 26 participants per event. By the time I get to Texas ( this year)we will have worked out all the bugs. lol
Please go to mwww.motorsportsreg.com and register as a member of the lotus challenge series. Only three of you have done it since I last asked for it. It is an easy way for me to communicate with the members. see you soon. Jim

LOG May 30-June 1

I am arriving Saturday night at LOG and would like to meet as many Texas contingency as i can and go over the plans for your lcs events. Yes they are in the works but if you have been following our west coast series it has been busy. We just secured Laguna Seca which is a big deal simply from a financial stand point. Offering world class venues for 25 cars is difficult but we did it.Texas is next on the horizon with so many of you wanting to have a series I see it developing even quicker than our west coast series. I am making a presentation at the track day and Al has volunteered his car for some LCS badging. See you all there. JIm
BTW your code name is LCSS

From what I gather, due to all that was going on out on the west coast relative to their series, the time it took to get enough people signed up for the Texas series and make contact with all the venues, dealerships, and Lotus, the series down here will start some time in the fall, (September I'm guessing), with 4 events planned.
What dates and venues has not yet been published.
Jim Navarro will be posting the schedule here I am sure, as it becomes available.

I know how you feel. Hang in there we will get to Texas. We are finishing the rules for 2010 and those will be your rules starting this year. I had anticipated having the sponsorship completed but we are finalizing the details now. I will keep you all posted.
Jim

My car is going to be shipped from LA pretty soon. Dont know when it will get here. Regardless, I'll try to help out in any way.

Made some great friends on the west coast. Some amazing drivers out there. Would love to see the TX series take off!

Lotus challenge series in Texas

Anouncement:
The lotus Challenge Series has planned it's first event in Texas:
When :October 29th.
Were: Houston motor sports ranch
Why: So we can show you how we roll
Who: This event is open to all Lotus owners. This will be a LCS exclusive with no other organizers. We will have approximately 4 hours (per group) of track time plus a fun time trial at the end of the day.
The format of the day will be HPDE plus the time trial. In addition, we are going to hold a meeting afterwards to discuss car classes and requirements for the up coming season.
I have talked to the Tim at Star motors , Nigel and Al to get the ball rolling on this and they assured they would get the word out to people.
Registration will open on Lotus Challenge Series > Upcoming Events - MotorsportReg.com tomorrow at 9 a.m.
We are capping the event at 30 track cars so sign up. The event will be open to all lotus owners who wish to support our efforts.
Come see how much fun we make our events and why there has been 5000 posts on lotus talk about the series.
Thanks, Jim

I'm interested, but have a conflict on that date. It may be a little harder to get a group together during the middle of the week.
