Texas Vehicle Inspection-San Antonio
Any recommendations for places to get my inspection done? My SC registration expires in April, and my cheapest option is to register my car here rather than my home state of California. I'm not sure what all goes into the inspection, and definitely don't want someone joyriding and/or damaging my car.

Go anywhere and just offer to walk them through where everything is on the car so that they'll know what to look for the next time someone comes in.
If you don't know where everything is yourself, then taht could be a problem. :-) To inspect my Exige, I just took it to the same place that I was happy to let inspect my daily driver. I: a. remove the driver side access cover so they can see the brake fluid. b. show them where the OBD connector is behind the A/C controls c. open and close the trunk lid and show them where all the different fluid reservoirs are. The driving portion of the test is around the block at most. The tech will be gone 2 minutes, max. |
