hmm... I got my new exhaust with a clamp on it. Guess if you don't have the clamp on the new one, then yes, you'll need to pick up a clamp. I wouldn't recommend trying to re-use the clamp off the stock one as people mentioned, it's spot welded on.

Hmm... looks like it might rain this Saturday and I wanted to go to a MTB festival in the morning. So I'm only left for later Saturday and it might be raining.
Did you plan on going up to Peck555's picnic in Whiteplains NY. Maybe you and Exaurkun come up by me in Livingston, NJ before or after the picnic and put the exhaust on if you have it by this Sunday. It's only about 1hr from my house. Exaurkun, would you be game?

I don't think he will have the exhaust in time. He also mentioned that it will probably be 3 weekends from now till he can install it.

Bob's correct. The exhaust should be shipping out tomorrow or Thursday so I'll get it early next week I'd imagine.
Would you guys be game for next Sat morning (9/20)? G - I'll PM you for your addy. Seems like Chester is just a bit north off of 287 so it shouldn't be hard to get to. macdaddy is also in northern NJ, and Bob, I'd imagine you're not too far from there either. As for the clamp, I need to check with the seller but the pic had a clamp on there which I assume will come with the stage 2. Looks like a t-bolt. If not, I may have some from back in the day for the supra's IC hoses... ![]() Jack

yeah, that pic shows the clamp on the exhaust. so you should be good to go. all you need to do is find a template and print it out at 100% size for new hole size on the diffuser so we have a template to trace. I'll try to print one out tomorrow at work.
Also, I'm near Chester if you wanna go there, but I'm not sure where NJDrool is located. Maybe Sunday, if he has the exhaust is a better day to give it a shot either before or after Peck555's picnic?

Are you happy with the quality of the DDM HID kit btw? I'm thinking of picking up some as well. Maybe an exhaust and HID session if you guys are game.
I know I want to get 6000K...just not sure how big of a difference the 35w versus the 55w make.

I am happy with the HID's except for the 1 bad ballast that's taking forever to get RMA'd back to me
![]() I got the 5500k 55w and the light output is great. I really suggest you get the 55w one's. If you decide to do both on the same day I suggest we start later in the afternoon. This way by the time we are done it's dark outside, and we can align the lights. I have to take everything back apart again when I get the replacement ballast and then plan on aligning all the lights at one time. Just a big waste of time. I also upgraded the little parking LED with the superbright WLED-x6 LED Cool White bulbs along with the clear turn signal bulbs. Really cleans up the front end and I suggest that if you are doing the HID's might as well do all 3 at the same time. If we do both mods and exarkun is coming you will need a lot more beers!! ![]()

Do not rely on double-sided tape only for mounting ballasts. Note that when the hdlt covers are replaced, the angle of beam goes up slightly. -g
