Talking Bertil Roos HPDE+ 10/9 - Registrations now open

On October 9th, 2007 the New Jersey Chapter will be coordinating the 2nd annual Bertil Roos Enhanced High Performance Driving Event (HPDE+). This event combines the benefits of a regular High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) with the excitement of driving a real race car, all under the direction of a fully accredited racing school.

Participants will receive two twenty minute on track sessions in the Formula Dodge race car, two twenty minute on track sessions in your personal car, classroom instruction and use of a helmet and driving suit will be provided for the entire day.

A boxed lunch will also be provided this year. For a full writeup of last year's event, please click here.

The cost for this event is: $695 for ACNA members and $745 for non members. We only had one elise there last year. I hope to have a few more this year so I can be convinced to buy one.

This event was sold out last year and regular price for this event is $1095.

That's an excellent price. No add on "extras" like $300 for insurance a day for their car etc? Quality school at half the Skippy rate.

Thanks. I don't think you're going to do better than this for a driving school which combines track time in your own car and driving a formula car. For me driving my fat pig of an S4 with AWD, it's amazing what you learn driving a lightweight car. Obviously Elise owners won't have nearly the same difference, but of course a race car is just plain fun.

The only options available is for film / photos from their photographer. I don't remember the costs offhand. Any other questions please let me know. Hope to see several of you there.

I've added the discounted price to the website so you can now sign up for $700 for Club111 and Elisetalk members.

Driving a race car is just a blast. Plus you get to have fun with their car to learn the track before heading out in your own.

Sorry I completely forgot to post. It's been canceled. Unfortunately we didn't get enough people to sign up in time for the deposit (the club is a non-profit w/o much reserves).

Yeah I was a bit shocked considering we did fill the 20 spaces, but every year is a bit different. It was a blast so hopefully I can pull something together next year.

I think the hard part is that we have to take payment so early just to make the deposit. For some (or most) its hard to think about october when it's still summer.
