Brake life in New England
Trying to gauge how the local (New England) customers' cars use up pads/rotors based on the fact that most people don't drive their cars in the winter and don't do as many track days per year as people in warmer climates.
Also, have the newer cars (>2007) even needed brakes yet? Thanks for the info, -G

If you're not doing track days then they last a while. I changed the fronts once and still have the original rears at 27,000 miles. I'm guessing I'm at the longer end of the range of life spans.

My front pads lasted about 10k, I just changed my rears last night at 11k, they had a little life left in them, but I had the pads sitting around and felt like working on the car a little. Either way the new pads were a definite improvement in stopping power than what was in there.

Combination of Boston, Providence and some NYC: fronts were basically finished at 17,000, rears probably had 3,000-4,000 left in them.
