Connecticut International Auto Show
This weekend.. Nov. 6- 8th.. Connecticut International Auto Show at the CT Convention Ctr. I noticed the website shows that Lotus will have floor space this year. It does not say which dealer will be there. Anyone know who and if the Evora will be there? Thanks ~Marc

Seriously doubt it. The floor space is being rented by a dealer, not LCU. An Evora will be in the area over the next few weeks but again, I think it's unlikely to be at such a minor auto show. Either Premier or Valenti would be the sponsoring dealer. Call them and find out.

Last year and I believe the year prior.. Miller Motorcars had a spot. I believe they are there again this year. Hoffman had Porsche... Overall its minor as Wallabyguy said..compared to the NYIAS.

Evora at the Connecticut International Auto Show
There will be a Lotus Evora at the Connecticut International Auto Show this weekend. Please come by and take a look.
Someone from Valenti Lotus will be there open to close all weekend. I have my Lotus polo and pin on and will be heading to the show momentarily.

very interesting. I'm impressed that Valenti stepped up. Good for them.

Went tot eh show yesterday, was not very impressed with the selection of cars. The only cars I saw that were of interest were: a Tesla, Ferrari California, and the Evora.
The tesla looked cool especially with it's CF parts, but as of yet still being an early intro into the car business, I do have too many concerns before I am willing to buy one. Also I would not be willing to trade my Elise for this. The California disappointed me as well. It looked overly bulky and it's lines just don't sing to me like the other models available. The Evora. Took a real good look at this. Vellenti had one next to an Elise. The interior is gorgeous and nicely appointed. The visibility out of the back is much like the original NA Exiges to the point that the rear view mirror seems useless. I was surprised when I saw that Lotus placed a plastic engine cover over the engine, thus hiding the engine. When I popped off the engine cover, it reminded me of a lawnmower engine shoved in. Really if you are going to go through the trouble of making a visible engine opening, at least dress up the engine so it is presentable as opposed to covered with plastic. I am sure it drives well, but the lines do not sing to me like that of the Elise. |

I went to the show last year, it has gotten worse every year. The selection of car's was low and they didn't even have a Skyline last year.
I was surprised to see that this year had even less cars than last. I did fall in love with the Evora. That was a huge surprise to me as I didn't see this post until after the show. Getting to check out the Evora was a nice treat. Reto, good to see you again. Glad to see your still with Lotus.
