OK, I understand. I didn't consider that route through Staten Island.

The only place we could meet is on the L.I.E. which basically goes straight to the place, so what we could do is stop for gas at exit 43 and meet you at the Mobil Station right off the exit (left at the light).

Coming, yes. Running, I'm not sure. My car isn't running well right now. Very upsetting. I might change everything back to stock.

Bavarian is your car blown? Or you just have an alternate tune from stock on your N/A motor?

My car is not blown and not tuned. The lack of a tune is what's killing me now.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you're stock except for:
- stage II exhaust (shouldn't cause any problems)
- WeaponR header ... so this causing the problems?

Yes, it's the weapon-R, BUT it's not the weapon-R itself. It's something I did to it to cause this problem I think

When this is all over (soon), I am saving for an SC; what I should've done to begin with

BTW Enrico, your car is supposed to be corner balanced and aligned tomorrow and should be complete

I'll give Waldir a call tomorrow if I can pick up my car Sat Morning, I will see you at HRM then!

And yes, save for a SC, at least that's what I'm doing.

In all honesty...see about getting a custom tune with an engine management unit rather than going with a reflash. I'm sure dustylax can steer you in the right direction.

Although Boosted2.0/Lilrocket haven't sourced the Lotus connectors...I'm sure somebody technically inclined could make a KILLING if he/she made AEM F/IC harnesses and Apexi Power FC harnesses for the Lotus...

I have thought about that, but the price of an EFI is around $3000 if I recall. Simply not worth the relatively minimal gains to be had with an NA set-up and simple bolt-ons. I see engine management systems as hard-core products for heavily modded cars.

I know it's superior if done properly, but nothing comes cheap.

$3000 for something serious or $380 for something simple ...either or

Although kverges ran into some problems, he essentially wired in his greddy emanage ultimat piggyback ECU onto his turbo'd Lotus, and is still running strong.

So unless kverges's car is a freak of nature that will never be repeated again, I don't see why at least other piggybacks like the AEM F/IC can't be wired in if everything was done 100% right the first time around, and until somebody can source the Lotus connections in order to make harnesses. I see that they're only $400 after a Google Product Search search. How much more is a wire job on top of that than spending $3,000 on the EFI? Although this would be best for when you go SC than NA, I don't see the downside to getting control over your car's ECU this way. As for standalones for DBW 2zz's...that'll take more than custom wiring...

I guess I'm not familiar with any other options.

Unlike standalones, piggybacks wire into DBW 2zz powered cars just fine . Boosted2.0 figured out, and created a wiring pinout chart over at newcelica.org for the greddy emanage ultimate. In fact, my greddy supercharged friend that's rolling through Saturday is a DBW 2003 Celica GTS just like me and is hooked up to the greddy emanage ultimate just fine.
