Its looking less likely that steve and i will be able to come. Turns out this is parents weekend here at school. If things change maybe we'll be there. Snap some pictures for those of us not able to make the drive.

OK then, I'll lead the Liquor Store Group.

Do we have any idea who's planning to meet up in Hooksett? For those who are, feel free to reply so I can get a tally.

I'll be at the NH State Liquor Store (aka: the Rest Area) in Hooksett, NH on Saturday morning, September 20th at 8:30. For those who aren't sure, it's on route 93 north, just a few minutes north of the Hooksett Toll Booth.

I'll plan on leaving by 9:00 so we can get to the VT rest area around 10:15.

For those who do plan to meet in Hooksett, this is my cell number (just in case you're running late). (603) 674-4687.

I would like to find out exactly where the meet-up spot in VT is. As far as I can tell, it's near White River Junction? Is that right? I may go directly there if I leave from the Lakes Region in NH if I can find out exactly where I'm going and how to get there. Otherwise, I'll be at the Hooksett rest stop.

Tom, welcome to ET. You were at the Northeast Exotic Car Show in Merrimack a few weeks ago, right? I think I sat in your car.

Everyone will meet up at the Vermont Rest Stop on Rte 89 North at 10:15 for a 10:30 departure North... toward our first leg of the scenic drive. The Vermont Rest Stop on 89 is between exit 1 and exit 2 in Vermont... approx. 8.5 miles from the NH / VT Border.

OK so I guess that's the one that's right at the junction of Rt. 89 and Access Rd. Sorry to ask a lot of questions; I've only been to VT a few times and don't know the area at all.

There is only one rest stop on Rte 89 North in Vermont. So you shouldn't have any trouble figuring out if your at the right rest stop.

The other thing you might want to consider is that there is a Park and Ride on Route 13 Exit 2 off Rte 89 in New Hampshire Easy off and Easy on. So from the NH Lakes Region Rte 93 South to Rte 89 North for 2 short exits and meet Tom at the Park and ride. You guys can work out the meeting time if you decide to do that.

...or you could scrap the whole Hooksett Rest Stop on rte 93 all together and meet at the park and ride. Only thing is there is no rest rooms at the park and ride.

Here is what I know as far as meeting points go:

Cardinal / Guest (passenger)? Considering VT Rest Stop
Vangman / Wife? VT Rest Stop
Exarun1178 Inn Saturday Morn.
Bavarian Motorist Inn Saturday Morn.
VSEVOLOD / Guest? VT Rest Stop
Hiro / Guest? usually Hooksett Rest Stop
PENGINEER 91 / Guest? Hooksett Rest Stop
Mark + Karen VT Rest Stop
Gene + Michelle Inn Saturday Morning
Fred + Pam Inn Saturday Morning
Jeff + Vicky Inn Saturday Morning
Tom + Patrick? Hooksett Rest Stop

There are several, but the next one is more than 20 miles north.

Thanks for the map.

I will probably just take Rt. 4 over to Rt. 89 and hit the VT Rest Stop directly from New Hampton, NH. It'll be easier that way.

More fun than driving down 93 and back up 89 to get to the same place too. I'd take 40 miles of backroads over 90 miles of interstate any day.

I'm still up for the VT rest stop, although it may be better if I simply meet everyone at the "start" at "Point A" on the tour, since I'll be staying close to there.

Will check with my friends in New Haven, VT to see if they'll join us for lunch, but it's quite likely they will (so Sev + 2 guests). Please let me know the name of the restaurant in Bristol.

Looking forward to it! Barring weather, or a recurrence of the AC-relay-causing-the-ECU-to-reboot-causing the engine to shut off while problem (theoretically fixed by the dealer today), I am there!
