Hi all!
OK, it looks like I'm 95% sure I can make it! (gonna work furiously Friday night to get my project done so that I can make this) So, barring any project disasters Friday, Melissa and I will be at the Hooksett spot at 8:30am Saturday. Tom: I'll call you if I run into any issues and can't make it last minute...or obviously, if you don't see us by your roll-out time of 9am, you can assume we couldn't make it... Keeping the fingers crossed - hope to see you all Saturday! - Hiro |

Where exactly is the starting point?
I'll be coming from the northwest, so instead of meeting up at the New Hampshire/Vermont border, I want to meet up at "Point A" ... is there a landmark or milestone for that? I'll be there <10:30 am waiting.
Can't wait ... sounds like fun! |

OK I've decided to leave from the Lakes Region, and I'm getting ready to leave for NH in a few. My motorcycle friend is in Maine so he won't be coming along. See everyone tomorrow at the VT Rest Stop. My old man may come along too, we'll see. I doubt it though because he's lazy.

We are departing the Vermont Rest Stop at 10:30 so that puts us at Point A at 11:15am. Meeting spot for Point A - It's Exit 9 off of Rte 89. We go left under Rte 89 on Center Street. Then Left on Rte 2 toward Rte 100B and Right on Rte 100B. So if you just hang out at or around the Intersection of Rte 100B and Rte 2 we can pick you as we pass by. I am finishing up the last details and heading out at 3:15pm to meet Fred and Pam in Groton on our trip to the Inn. My cell phone if you have questions 603-234-8898. Questions with reference to Hooksett NH meeting spot can be directed to Tom Beggan. His cell phone is listed on the earlier page of this thread. The weather link (listed earlier) requires right click and hit refresh for up to the minute info. However the weather looks perfect to me. Careful guys on the Interstate, a Lotus Convoy is a Cop Magnet. Exteemly excited about the whole weekend. Looking forward to it and boy do I need a break. Thanks,-Jeff |

Thanks to Jeff for taking the time to organize a great event, and to everyone else who came along. It ended up being a blast, not to mention rather extreme at times. Lots of fun. It's nice to get out and use the cars as intended.

GREAT DAY !!
Did anyone else get a big kick out of that little econobox we were following on the last road before we got onto 89? That driver must have been working his butt off or exceptionally skilled (maybe both) to get that little can moving through those twisties as well as he did. I drove by him on 89 and gave him a big thumbs-up. He certainly deserved it! ![]() |

Thank you it was a pleasure
Thank you for organizing this event; it was a pleasure meeting every person who came out. I was proud to be a LEO member participating in this run.
Look forward to running with everyone at some future spirited drive. Sev |

Sorry I couldn't make it. Did you drive the 3 passes (RT17 each way)? Did Snap's work well as a lunch stop? How many Lotus?

2 Esprit 1 Exige 8 Elise We did the 3 passes (yes) and Rte 17 twice (LOL). Rte 125 had washed out earlier in the spring, so we had a few short patches of gravel on that pass. Not too bad, but as Sven mentioned to me...good thing we didn't do the Lincoln Gap. Fred almost pulled out his banjo, but all's well (Deliverence Reference)... Snap's was good, pretty much country diner fair. Everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered. They set us up at 3 large tables in the center of the room, I had called them friday afternoon so we sat right down (worked out great). It took a solid 60 minutes for everyone to get fed, we keep on schedule the whole day. Each table split one check. Waitress said it was the easiest large party she had ever had and thanked us. Home before dusk, I like that. |
