We had a pretty nice turn out and despite the track not supplying a corral area I was able to make last minute arrangments. We had quite a varieyt of of cars in the corral including an ELite, 2 Elans, 3 Esprits, and 2 Elises. At least I think that is the right count. This plus the plethora of Lotus race cars made for some interesting viewing. I hope everyone who participated enjoyed themselves, and that more pictures will appear as I did not take any!

I did however get some in car video, and will post it when I get it uploaded to you-tube and figure out how to link it to LT.

Since it was impossible to take guests for rides in my single seater race cars I now have some in car video of the event. This is practice laps in the Type 61.

Even better- and better video quality as well is race footage from my race in the Type 69. The big car that comes up to my left into turn 1 at the start is a F5000 car. THe car I spend most of the race dueling with (and get the better of) is a '98 Swift 008. My fastest lap was a 1:19.709. The video was edited to fit within the youtube time limit of 10 minutes. Several laps were cut, but the editing makes it seem fairly seamless.

The spot of the pass is a fantastic spot for overtaking. Most poeple go into turn 4 way slower than they need to, and similar to turn 5 at Summit Point they drive over to the right to set up for the turn, leaving an opening for the overtaking car. There is little opportunity to overtake again until turn 1 leaving a bit of time to put some distance between the cars.

The Swift, and the other red car - a RALT RT41 - are both Toyota Atlantics BTW. I attribute my performance relative to them as they are slower than their potential, rather than I was performing brilliantly - even if I was. I think I could probably get another second off my lap time. Experienced Toyota Atlantic drivers who have done T-bolt say they should be capable of 1:15's.

The front two cars in the group were an Indy Lights Lola, and a Reynard F3000 (the one pictures earlier in the thread with the cosworth DFS - a spec DFV for F3000).

i saw the pass on sunday, it was great. kyle was slowly reeling him in and i saw him take a look on the lap prior but thought he'd lost a little time doing so, however next lap out he caught back up and pulled it off. i was kicking myself for forgetting my camera (as i'm sure he is....)

watching the f5000 was hilarious, like using a chainsaw for heart surgery. there was a massive roar, massive acceleration, then less noise, stand on the brakes, catch it, tiptoe through the bends, repeat.

kyle, nice editing on the videos

Kyle, NJMP is my home track (I'm a member) and a 1:19.709 on T-Bolt is very very quick! Great driving....... My Exige S can't even come close to that lap time!
