59th between 10th and 11th, right near my apartment complex. It's not expensive ($19 for 10 hours) and it's not too far from midtown. I've put my Elise there and they take care of it well.

I would not park right in the middle of times square or that area, if that's what you were thinking.

Times Square on a week end is a mad house. I personally would not want my Elise within any Times Sq. people's reach or sight. It's also likely to cost you twice as much as the place I suggested. The place I go to is not far walking distance from Times Square. But anyways, it's up to you.

If you wanna stay closer to the midtown area, at the very least go to the far west side, like 10th or 11th because things are quieter and cheaper.

i feel the cost 50$ is justified based on the level of service and warm feeling i get from the staff.

were talking the finest hotel in the city.... and only what 3 blocks from tie square. 51st and park other cars parked with mine, bently and rolls, and even an xke.

Please allow me to vent... I hate parking in Manhattan (and I currently have a car in a Manhattan parking garage).

OK, sorry for the hijack...

Not midtown but the Minetta Garage on W3rd St @ 6th Ave next to my apt is good. There are always a few 430's and 911's parked in there. They seem to put nice cars separate but those could just be monthly's.

glad this thread came up, I have never parked the lotus in the city because I'm a bit...umm, paranoid...about others parking my car.

Do any of these recommended garages let you park yourself? (how about keep the keys?) I have read horror stores (on here) about letting valet's park the car. And I know what they did to my other car (although it's possilble I just seem to choose the bad garages)

Would be nice to drive the lotus to the city for a weekend, if I could get over the emotion and worries.

it is fun, pulling into times square last spring resulted in a barrage of pictures

anyway thanks guys for the tips, but ended up taking the tt due to the forecast; great decision based on the amount of hydroplaning on the ride home. at least i've options for the next trip
