Florida registration Fees are Increasing- How to beat them

I was in Daytona the other day and went to the tax accessors office to renew the registration on my mom's car since she will be out of state when it renews on her birthday next month.

The person there told me that the fees are almost doubling starting next month. My birthday is in October and they told me that people who have a birthday before December can renew for 2 years at the current rate before Sept 1st and beat the rate increase. I was able to renew the registration on both my cars their and get the lower rate.

It isn't a whole lot of money, but if you have a bunch of cars, motorcycles or trailers that are registered, it is worth it to renew early.

Heres a news article I found about it too.

Avoid higher vehicle registration fees by renewing before expiration | Jacksonville.com
