Thinking of organizing a Central Florida fun run first weekend of November - LotusTalk

The last time I hosted a fun-run was in November '06 after my infamous Goodyear-Lotus incident.

On the last run, we met in Apopka, and did some back roads to Howey in the Hills where we lunched at the Yalaha Country Bakery for German food and fresh baked pastries and treats.

We then cruised through Clermont and ended up at a Glider Port watching the gliders soar.

I'm not "sure" I want to do the same itinerary. I remember some old geezer calling the cops on us for speeding through Clermont.

Timeframe: First weekend in November? Your thoughts??

Itinerary: Anybody have any recommendations on a drive with some nice open roads, some curves, and maybe something to see. And finally some place to gather and socialize in the middle/end?

I would be interested in joining up. There are some great roads in that part of the state. The Yalaha Bakery is a good stop. There are also some state parks in the area.

Perhaps we can organize two events and meet in the middle. Central and West Coast. We had quite the time cruising the beach in August, but heading inland to a destination to meet up with another group of Loti might be interesting. Thoughts.
