Hello All,
Here is all of the Information (http://www.lotuscorps.org/events.php): Lotus Corps Fall Tour October 6 & 7, 2007 We will meet at the Wisconsin Welcome Center on Route 12 just north of Richmond IL at 8:30AM on Saturday morning. The group will leave at 9AM. Everyone will get a set of route instructions if we get separated along the way. In addition to some curvy, hilly back roads, we have several stops along the way for site-seeing, nature observing, shopping (yes, shopping), and commiserating. The focus will be on fun roads & fun people, and this will not be a marathon drive (ie, not as many miles to cover as last year). We are planning to have dinner on Saturday night at the oldest restaurant in Wisconsin which opened in 1848. We will test it before we commit to make sure that they have updated the silverware and that the ketchup bottles are not still the originals. On Saturday night (October 6), we are staying at the vast Olympia Resort in Oconomowoc, WI. Olympia has set aside a block of rooms, at the reduced rate of $109. Please reserve early by calling 800-558-9573 (select option #2 to get to reservations). Mention "Lotus Car Club" to get the reduced room rate. On the way back to Illinois on Sunday, we plan to make a stop at the Lake Geneva Octoberfest. Please confirm you attendance with Barb and Ken Olendzki at 847-394-9215. P.S. - Since many of you know that Ken is not a morning person, and getting up soooo early on a Saturday might make him grumpy, the Olendzki's will be staying at their home in Lake Geneva on Friday night. They have several guest bedrooms available to Lotus Corps members that want to get an earlier start on the weekend.

This is the same weekend that the Great Lakes Lotus Club is having a track day in Grattan, and the Chicago Alfa club is having a track event at Road America. Lousy timing.

I took a few that I can post when I get home (if I remember). Got one of the silver Esprit when it was still in one piece. I never got the chance to meet the owner so I don't know who it belonged to.

I guess not. Jeez, Randy, do you really expect that I know that stuff? Please fix it .
edit: I have no idea what I was doing last night. I'm an idiot. I'll try again tonight. Last edited by dasmoofler; 10-12-2007 at 07:12 AM. |
