Columbus Ohio Lotus Owners Group - LotusTalk

I have been looking around for Ohio based lotus owners groups and only see Cleveland. Anybody in Columbus or Cinnci want to get one going?

I figured that if there was enough interest we could get something organized as it seems there are quite a few lotus talk members in ohio. Hopefully they will chime in and we can get something going.

Can a non-Lotus owner join?

All I do during the warm months is hit the country roads. I'm always looking for others to run with. I want to do a track-day or 2 this year if funds allow.

I will need to do a bit of research on it but Im sure members on lotustalk have been there done that. But I think it really comes down to what everyone wants to do with it. More ideas the better...and Im more than happy to do what I can for it.

I'm a rookie with this stuff and not sure what it takes to be official vs. an organized group of people doing events. I'm cool with it either way if the interest is there and we can move on it.

There used to be a Lotus Ltd. local group in your area called SW Ohio Lotus Ltd (SWOLL), but it dropped off the map several years ago. There are a number of practical advantages to affiliation with the national club, not the least of which is a good discount program with a number of quality vendors and a fledgling track program...and there are a ton of Lotus owners around there, too. Check with Atwell Haines (CarBuff@LotusOwners.com) to get information about affiliation if you decide to establish a formal group. Good luck; as an example, our Lotus Colorado (LoCo) group is a great group of folks with a lot of activity and events.

I looked at the lotuscarclub.org site a bit today and found some info so that looks like the way to go if enough people chime in and are interested.
