Great time at Autobahn CC yesterday with FVMC

Really enjoyed meeting so many new enthusiasts. Cat, you did an amazing job for your first track event, sub 2:00’s (just a rough estimate ) on the south track is very respectable in the green group. Greg in the red ’07 Exige Cup car was just sick fast. Had a lot of fun running with the old SpeedVision series Mustang during one of the instructor sessions. Chris, thanks for coordinating. Hope to see many of you out at the track again soon.
By the way, I’ll be at Blackhawk Farms October 17th – 18th with Audi Club. There is a $100 discount for anyone who has not yet done a track event with the Chicagoland Chapter of Audi Club. If anyone is anxious to get back out onto the track you can find additional info at: ACCCC | Home | Audi Car Club Chicagoland Chapter

Thumbs up

I also had a great time. It was my first time running with FVMC and lets just say they and the Lotus Corps guys do a fantastic job of organizing and instructing an event. I was laughing as I heard a few people minorly gripe about the schedule being 5-10 minutes off of the provided schedule. HEH most events I attend have had little rhyme or reason and certainly no printed schedule for the day.

I will also say that I learned more yesterday than I have at all of the track days I have attended combined. Phil was a great instructor for our group and taught us some great stuff. He pushed us to do things we hadn't done and as a result I am a better driver.

I also was one of two front wheel drive econoboxes at the event (black 200SX) I was treated with the utmost respect and everyone was very cool. I snaped a couple of not so great pics. and thought I would share. I will close by giving the highest compliment I can think to give. I am a faster driver from having attended the event yesterday!

On to the pics.

Thanks to everyone who came out! Participants, helpers and spectators. What an awesome group!! The instructors were top notch, and the students actually listened and got faster and better! We hope everyone had a great time! I certainly did.

I love watching the groups from the begining of the day to the end. It always amazes me how much the confidence builds, and how fast you all are by the end of the day. One day i will actually man up and get out there with you guys!

I know We got a disc full of pictures. I will work on Chris to get those on the website.

Again thanks for comming out!

T.J.

I had a great time, even without my car. Thanks to Tickle and KenRK for the rides!

It was a great time. Unfortunately I forgot my SD card for my camera and most of my in car videos were corrupted due to a badly formatted drive. This is all I have: Picasa Web Albums - nodemgr - Lamborghini C...

Does anyone else have any more pictures/videos of the event?

Was it a torque thing, something else we should watch out for?

One came out, the other 3 broke. I ck torque after every run session but I'm installing studs in my 2-eleven also.

torque issue - just ran two days prior up at gingerman, no issues. All wheels in good shape. After the incident, checked the torque on all other wheels and they were fine. Thankfully it happened in a relatively slow section of the track, now just waiting on parts.
