Hey all, just took delivery of a 2006 exige. Purchased from a hell of a guy down in Texas.

Welcome! WE'll definitely know it's you. There aren't many Exiges around a the stripe combo is definitely unique!

Nydus (with a Krypton Green Exige) is not far from you. I'm in St Charles, but have an office in Schaumburg, so when the weather breaks, you might see me around.

Make sure to check the 'Chicago Drives and Get Togethers' thread. We are an active group. I try to organize a few drives a year as does Todd (who you probably know from FVMC).

Case in point - last drive of the season in October? 30 cars!

In addition to the drives, there's a handful of track rats and with any luck a growing autocross crowd in 2013 as well. Block out the first weekend in May to come down to Autobahn Country Club to meet some of the track crowd. While you're at it mark Monday May 20th and register for the Lotus Corps track day at Blackhawk Farms Raceway!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I have never seen an exige on the road around here, so hopefully that will change this year.

I have never tracked but that is my biggest goal for this car. I do have about 4 years auto cross under my belt- all with a turbo s2000.

I am excited to get some seat time and really learn the car. It is very well sorted as is (pretty extensively modded) so I have much to do on my end to catch up to the cars capabilities.

I will check out the cruises and definitely see you guys at auto x. Hopefully at least a few track days as well!

No kidding, I miss driving it. How sad is this? Last weekend I pulled off the car cover just to look at the thing. Sprayed on some quick detailer (even though it was fully detailed before packing it up) just to have an excuse to do something with the car...

I actually still haven't seen another Exige in person haha I'm sure ill probably never see yours on the street until the next time my friend visits. He lives in Cali and used to live in Texas and he jokes that Lotuses are more common than civics :P

Also, I only just got mine at the end of last summer, so I'm sure we'll cross paths sooner or later. If you see a crazed 20 something guy in a black Monte Carlo (or white if its winter/covered in salt) that's me. And you'll know because ill definitely post in the Midwest spotted thread. I've yet to be spotted, but since its a dream of mine ill be sure to post when I inevitably spot you. :P

Ross that's awesome I didn't know there were so little starlight black on the road. It's a stunning color for sure.

My driving intentions are Auto x often and track at least a few times this year!

I don't have many parts I need to add, but I do intend on rerunning some electrical wires for existing V1/wideband and adding a oil pressure/temp gauge before summer comes around..... I've posted the mod list of the car below!

Nydus- if it's warm and near 60118 zip code/Algonquin/Dundee/Elgin/Schaumburg there is a good chance ill be spotted. I do intend to drive this thing!

2013 will be different! Welcome to the club and stunning Exige! It motivated me to finally get active with the Lotus community again. As Swinglo said, great group and fun drives. I am in western part of Elgin.

As for being spotted, I was spotted once. Of all places, at Meijer buying groceries. Perfect use of a Lotus.

Beautiful car! Looks like ours are setup similar, just different brands on some stuff. You have my old SC setup, I enjoyed it greatly!!! Look forward to driving with you when I get home from deployment. You will get to meet Kim, my girlfriend in her Chrome Orange Elise on the local Lotus drives and events. Watch out, she is fast when she wants to be, and I mean fast.

Just a mention, the CL RC6 pads are awesome, but they chew up rotors. I have the RC5+ now and brake and feel just as well but nice on rotors.

Drive fast, take chances!!!

There are a lot. We are a very active group. Not sure if you're into track days, auto-x, spirited drives or Lotus orgies, but we do a lot - well, not the orgy thing

Check the Chicago Drives and threads thing. We wind up doing a drive about every 6-7 weeks but Todd and I said we need to make it once a month. If there are twisty roads in the area, we know 'em! These cars were made for that.

Check out the threads and pics in the Midwest sections (as well as the Spirited Drives videos on youtube) go get a flavor.

If you wanna join in and play Lotus Reindeer Games, we have a great local group for it!
