Oktoberfast at Road America

The three day event is sponsored by the Badger Bimmers. I was just there today. Temp in the 40s with a a few flurries at noon. Very well organized.

I've had a couple of track days at Blackhawk Farms, but wanted to try Road America after watching races there over the past few years.

I had understood that RA wasn't a good choice for an Elise, but I had fun. Grip wasn't bad and brakes worked great. My instructor was superb and a nice guy. It was fun to drive a bit faster with the longer straights.

I thought a full tank would last the day. I had to buy two gallons of 98 Octane to get through the last session. That was a fast $20. I limped to a gas station afterword and filled the tank with 10.3 gallons.

I hope to return next year.
