We're going on a drive thru the country from my place this weekend if you're interested.
I did a 250 mile enduro on the dual sport motorcycle last weekend. I only crashed three times! Good to hear from you, Jim! Todd

NSX is running well. Still miss the Elise though.
Had a pretty mediocre season racing. April at Sebring was fun but results were mixed. Had a bad wreck in the Kink at RA in July, spent my potential Limerock budget in crash damages and had to pass on that race. August was better. Glad you are still racing motorcycles Todd.

Hey Jim. glad to hear you are still around. When your ready to jump back into a Lotus let me know, I would love to help you set it up and make a killer car. Even if it is just giving you the experiences I have seen with different bits.
Glad the NSX is good! T.J. |

Tracy inherited a LOAD of money, bought the TV station, and a new Koenigsegg; Evoras now have lightweight V-12's...........and I'm STILL trying to sell my Europa. Other than that, nothing new at all. ( except newbies wanting to know how the Exige S's are as a daily driver.....what kind of snow tires should I get....I have a rattle...........etc etc etc etc etc etc )

Hi Jim, good to see you!
Well, besides the Koenigsegg ( ), I still have the 993. The steering rack and power assist pump needed to be replaced, along with a few other odds and ends.....63 days out of service this summer and $4,800 later, I'm back in business. Still want an R8 but will never get one.

The NSX is a boulevard cruiser. I prefer to wreck other people's cars at the racetrack.
Took 3 corners off the Skippy car in the Kink, cracked the engine block. Loti are way too tempting to thrash on the track, the NSX is nice and slow so I can't get into too much trouble w/ it. The IT cops are preventing me from accessing ltalk at work so I only check it out when I happen to be at the house where the woman who spends all my money is....(now that's a really long story, LOL) It's good to hear from the gang, I'm sure I'll see at least some of you at the next Carl Grabowski day at BHF, hopefully sooner. Keep the faith!

Hey Jim!
How's the NSX? How did you do in Skip Barber in season points? Sorry to hear you crashed it. ![]() I don't know if you heard or not, but I blew up the LS7. JAYKAY and I put in a new crate engine. That was fun. Karting season could have been better. Rock Island was a nightmare for me this year. 4 crashes in 3 races. 1 crash resulted in us having to weld the frame. The final crash totalled the chassis. Moral of the story: Blind turns can really eat up equipment. Also, the Leatt brace works! A buddy of mine and I then raced in the Mazda Robopong 200. Blew our only engine in morning practice before qualifying. Luckily, the Margay factory team let us rent one of there engines. We got the engine and ignition system installed with 30 seconds to go for qualifying. We qualified almost dead last (43rd?) due to having almost no practice and tuning time coupled with the usual sub-par driving by me.My friend started the race and drove all the way up to 21st. In my first stint, I got us up to 14th. Then we made a stop, changed tires and he went out. When he came in again, we were 22nd. We gambled on fuel and tried to go the last 60 laps on one tank. I was running 13th and right when the white flag came out, I felt the engine stutter and go lean (almost like it was going to stick). I completely lifted to try to flood the engine with fuel (any that was left) and looked down to see we had 1 inch left. The pickup was 1 inch off the bottom. We forgot to check that. So I had to baby it around at 1/2 throttle for the rest of the lap. Jay Howard passed me with 3 turns to go. We finished 14th. It was a pretty cool race. Racing with Indy car drivers was an eye opening experience.

The "Racing Inspired Dry Sump System" did not stand up to HPDE usage.
It let go on the 2nd track day. Only 10K miles on it. I upgraded the oiling system and cooling system when we put the new engine in. There are a lot of threads about this on the vette forums.

Rick, didn't hear about your 'vette. I was under the impression those things were bullet-proof. Guess nothing really is. I'm not even sure where I'll finish in the SB standings. Limerock is the Summer Series finale and that's this w/e. It won't be as good as last year, though. My buddy Steve had bad luck at the RIGP also. No incidents, kart just didn't have any top-end, think he finished last among those who actually finished. Not sure why I want to run that race, but I do.
