8th annual Classics at Lee Hall
Saturday August 8th, 2009
Newport News, VA

We will be attending. Anyone else going?

The car show at Lee Hall was moral victory for Lotus and Se7ens. The European up to 1984 class contained several very nice Mercedes Benz, a two owner Porsche 365, Bentley, two Rolls Royce and a Ferrari 365 driven by a cougar. Oddly there were only a couple of Midgets representing MG and a single Triumph. When the final ballot was counted our Seven took home the runner up award in what was apparently a close fought battle between our 1958 Seven series 1 and one of the Mercedes. It is not often that a Seven places over a Ferrari in a people's choice car show.

All in all it was very nice day. I met some nice folks. Several kids had their picture taken sitting in our car. I gave the TR3/NSX owner a brief ride that seems to confirm his enthusiasm for a Se7en. Even brought home something for the I Love Me wall.
