The brownies my wife made for the picnic are very tempting. Must resist testing them.

Just back home. An excellent gathering. Lots of Lotus: Type 14 Elite, Elan, Europa, Esprit, M100, new Elite, Elise, Exige. Also some lesser cars: Ferrari, Viper, Lamborghini, Noble, Audi R8, Porsche... Kids played tennis and swam in the pool. Lots of good food. Several varieties of brownies and some killer chocolate chip cookies. Yum.

Arg, missed the cookies. Brownies were great. Thanks to Kevin for hosting one of the best Lotus Car shows/BBQs I have been to all summer. This was much better than some of the British Car shows, and a huge Lotus turnout!

The turnout was definitely the biggest I've seen in the past 4 years I've attended. Skimming through my pictures I count 105 vehicles (52 Lotus), and I know I missed at least 2.

Good mix too. As usual, most of the Ferraris came en masse. The locally infamous pink dolphin Lambo Diablo was there, a couple Panteras, although not the black one that's usually there with the 'work of art snake bundle.'

Shelby Series 1, Nissan GTR, old Jag....

And of course wonderful Lotus. Sad to see only a handful of older cars...two Type 14 Elite's, one Europa, an Eclat, only two or three Elans, one M100 Elan.

And Kevin's own collection: MGC, Aston Martin, Type 14 Elite, Elise, Caterham, and one of the X180R Esprit race cars.

Lots of G bodied Esprits, including an S1 with a V8 conversion.

There was a Rotus there with a V8, this looked like a home built one and a half sized 7. Quite a piece.

Thanks for the pics, couldn't make it for the past two years. My wife gave birth to our beloved son on Aug. 30th and he was a little young to leave or bring along.

Glad it was a success, as always.

Cheers,
Nawar
