All right, who wants to do some driving this weekend? I'd prefer something in MD, but I'm flexible. Perhaps a drive up to MGs on the Rocks, or something? I'm going to be in town and want to see some Lotus people and do some fun driving!

There are some great roads if going from Columbia to Harford County. I highly doubt I can be available but if I am I'll let you know.

I'm from that area. If you can go and the weather holds out, and have never been there, it's not a bad time at all.

Again, some really good roads going over. Use GPS to get directions to the 4H park in Queen Anne county. That will take you from 301 into Centreville, which you will need to do to get to Rock Hall. You're not going to the 4 h park, but those coordinates will get you on that road.

That road from 301 to Centreville is literally Little Dragon east. Some really great twistys squeezed into about 8 miles.

Rock Hall is a neat little town. Used to be a fishing village. It's at the end of the road, nobody goes through Rock Hall, you go to it, then turn around and come back. Over the last decade high end marinas and waterfront condos have gone in, so some of the flavor is diminished, but it's still an interesting little, bizarre town.

Kinda like Norman Rockwell meets Rocky Horror.

You have to go through Chestertown to get to Rock Hall, which itself is a nice little town. Very old, lots of charm.

That said, weather permitting, I'm heading to Harford County for MG on the Rocks.

Hey all, this isnt a driving event per se, but I'll be at the Clarendon Day event tomorrow, supporting my friend's electric car/kart project. He will have his electric kart there (that I think I'm supposed to drive) Here is the link.

Clarendon is definitely not a Lotus-friendly neighborhood. Or really any car or scooter for that matter. That said, there was a really great coffee shop there that closed recently (Murky Coffee) I guess that's a good thing, since, I, personally, don't need additional reasons to go to Clarendon. (Someone lives there I would rather not run into...) The festival is ok, I have been. Highly recommend taking metro to it!

Ok, I'm going to be away from the computer most of tomorrow, so somebody get this baby figured out! If nothing else maybe we could meet in Burtonsville around 2-3, drive for a while (route, anyone?) then get some dinner? Totally open to other ideas, just throwing something out there.

Or meet in Old Town Alexandria and head the back way to Cantlers in Annapolis or one of the restaurants on the edge of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

Yep. Let's meet in front of my house on the 500 block of N Royal St. The only question will be how far you all want to go? Cantlers, which is just outside Annapolis, on. Of the places by Kent Narrows, or a little farther, like St. Michaels or Oxford.

i can definately meet up. just wont be going on the drive. its my brothers 27th birthday and doing a family thing that afternoon. if things change and i can infact go on the drive. it doesnt matter how far we go. i love to drive and am not too worried about putting the miles on the car. just had the 1000mile service done so im ready to have some fun!!

What time do you think you'll be in the Annapolis area? Given the forecasted weather doesn't have you leaving VA until late afternoon(???) perhaps a trip to St. Michaels or Oxford are a bit too far...
