It is right on main street - and Upperville is even smaller than Middleburg. If you can read this menue then you are in the right place. |

Hunt Country British Car Show
I'll be there Sunday. I've been there the last two years - nice venue, good driving roads nearby.
I may also try to make the Triumph show - Brits By The Bay in Pasadena, MD Saturday.

I have been there the last 10 yrs. Mostly because of the drive on the Middelburg Run from The Plains.
I will be in the parking venue as I am cheap. Great show. Bagpippers and the British Embassy. How bout a group run from Mikes on Royal St. Bob

Well heck, if you all want to meet here, I'll whip up some good espresso drinks on my new Expobar machine! Would be excellent to cruise to Middleburg with a few folks! We'd probably have a MINI following us too, my neighbor...

I might come out to this show to check out some classic British cars and if anyone would like to show me their Elise, I'd love to take a closer look. I've been thinking about buying an Elise for quite a while, might within the year. For the time being I'm enjoying my Mazdaspeed Miata; not quite British, but shares the driving principles. I actually just drove through Middleburg and those back roads last Sunday on my way back from Skyline Drive.

Come On By!
I'll be there with my Elise. There are always a few Lotus, minimum, at this show. I'd be glad to show you my car.

My wife and I plan on being there too (as long as I don't end up in the hospital again
). I'll be the guy with the Chrome Orange Elise and almost anyone is welcome to sit in my car and "try it on for size"...

The setting is Bill Scott's front yard. I have a friend with a 7 just down the street.I'm thinking of bringing some kind of picnic food.We could Pot Luck if we can get a group to bring fun food. We have never done that. It's really a perfect place to picnic.
Anyone? Bob

What time did you all want to meet to drive up?
510 N Royal St. Anyone who shows up early is welcome to a snack (if I can manage to whip up some quick breads) and an espresso drink. Registration closes at noon, so we should probably be there by 11am? Maybe leave Old Town by 9:30am?

Really Good Lotus Turnout!
There were only two of us at Brit On The Bay Saturday (Todd and I), and we were also the first two to show up at Hunt Country Sunday. All told, I believe we had 15 Lotus turn up. Dave Yohn's Jim Clark Esprit, as well as an Essex and two other Esprits, two Elans, and a Lotus Cortina. No Europas
![]() The Lotus class awards were won by the Cortina, an Elan, and Todd's Exige. Pix below. BTW, did anyone lose a camera at the event? I found one looped around my chair as I picked it up to pack it. PM me if it's yours.

What a beautiful day for a show!
I have been a long time lurker but never posted. I have gotten tons of information from this site. I have been in love with the Elise and have been dreaming about it, but honestly didn't know if I fit (I am 6'-2"). Special thanks to Tim for letting me try his on for size; now I know that I do fit! And I look good in chrome orange! Bob and Mike in Alexandria, I feel like I know you from reading your posts. I saw your beautiful cars, but didn't get to meet you guys. Mike, did someone key your front fender? Sorry, that is a horrendous experience. Even with that, your car is stunning. Hopefully I will be a fellow Elise owner one day--I just need to convince my wife! |
