They are two totally different cars. You can't really compare beside the fact that they're both two great cars. Elises/Exiges are purpose built machines that's awesome on the track where they're suppose to be. I think Lotus should void the warranty for any Elise/Exige that has never been to the track. On the other hand you can take the NSX cross country and you don't have to go to the doctor's office afterward for back pain. They are both reliable but the NSX is better built and stuff don't fall apart as easy as the Lotus.

Never owned an NSX. Always want to though. In 1991, got an MR2 Turbo instead and it was a great car, less $$.

I pointed about the Big Brake Kit and Coilover Suspension because we were talking about the handling and how well the car would do on cornering on a later model car such as a Nsx. It isn't exactly a "go fast" performance mod, but it helps.

I think I've seen your Yellow Nsx before, are you around the West Covina area in SoCal? Didn't you have a different screen name on Lotustalk like YellwNsx or something?

I believe you can in fact partially compare the Nsx with the Lotus. They both have an aluminum chassis. Both mid engine with rear wheel drive. They both run high compression stock internals and they both are able to run a supercharger with 6-9lbs pulley without doing a low compression engine rebuild. Both cars run staggered wheel sizes and well balanced wheel base. Both have removable top option. Both are known for handling and not exactly known for 1/4 mile and horsepower numbers. They both are quite low to the ground as well.

To make fun, I also wanted to point out that they both include a wussy looking spoiler that does give a slight drag.

Talking

I'm not sure if your talking about the same kit since you said JGTC, but if your referring to the white Nsx that is on their gt-rom.net website, then yes.

I have the Sorcery S-GT complete rear end, Sorcery Sideskirts (probably the one you have). A slightly different front fender and a custom made (one-off) Sorcery front bumper (also different from the Super-GT and your your avatar).

The complete kit I ordered are authentic and directly came from Sorcery themselves. I just paid more to ask them to make a few things different to my likings.

I'll post pictures in about a month since its at the body shop as we speak.

NSX and Lotus

I too have an NSX. I had an Esprit, some old Elans a Europa and back to an ELan +2 now. The NSX is reliable, great car, after driving it a while, it is like driving a Honda Civic. I hope other Lotus owners don't missunderstand this remark but, I can count on the NSX to get me home or start with no drama. The problem I have with my NSX is, it has no SOUL! Seems silly but it doesn't have all that history behind it like a Lotus has. I often think of selling it, but my wife loves it. I was reading some of the drives people did to LOG 28, no cruise, tilt and marginal AC, not the NSX it has it all of that stuff and they work. And that is the down fall of the NSX, too smooth. Maybe there needs to be some sacrifice (bleeding) to owning a "cool" car to qualify the experience. Just get in and turn the key with my Honda, Whops! NSX. Would I rather have an Old Lotus or an NSX? I would take the old Lotus every time, don't tell my wife. I have been "lurking" on this site looking for news on the latest LOG, I will make LOG 29 (I hope) but the +2 will be on the trailer, if it is done. Driving an old Lotus 3,000 miles round trip is too much of an adventure and would involve all the sacrifice a person wants.

Mr. Vman
that's true honda's racing history doesn't go back recent history but Ayrton Senna had a role in designing the NSX. And if you follow the JGTC series in Japan, the NSX's have been a force to reckon with. (2 classes GT300 & GT500 cars race together). Be fun to see lotus enter the series. Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, etc are all involved.

Lemans NSX

If you find the NSX a bit to civil, just put some bucket seats, coil overs, and exhaust in her, that'll bring out some of the animal in this car. and she'll still be as reliable as a civic. The lotus has it's merits but if I had to choose, I think longterm the nsx would bring more smiles. Get both if possible!

Yea that's the one. I was in contact with DJ (forget his name) last year and was considering this kit too. In the end went with the more reserved sorcery line (no holes front fenders, car in avatar is mine). My car's in the garage too, in japan as we speak. Can't wait to get her back.
