BULL.

It does disrupt airflow but unless you are driving at high speeds over long distances or are tracking the car, it won't have any significant impact.

for what it's worth...

I found a barely used (700 miles) 08 Elise SC on ebay for $50k, made an offer for $47k directly to the seller (a dealership) and ended up getting it for $48k. It took a lot of patience to find that car, and I almost broke down and bought a new one for $60k+, but in the end I'm extremely happy with the deal that i got and I absolutely love the car.

Obviously there's a risk to buying via the internet, and it's hard to find used 08's but i think the lesson here is to be patient if you really want something

I think MMC is selling one on ebay for approx 5k off. Noticing how the Exige S prices have fallen off I think we will see that trend on the Elise SC's as well.
