Autocross Europa - carbon, tube frame & 289hp

No connection except I know the builder / former owner of this car.

LOTUS EUROPA TWIN CAM RACE CAR

I watched him carry the entire body around by himself. You climb in through the "sun roof". I wish I had more money and time for toys.

Cool looking Europa. Guess the roof entry is okay as long as it never goes belly up.

Yeah, really.......... reminds me of Nascar's cars.... they only vaguely resemble their original bodies..........but it's what's underneath that counts.

Hmmm... the blue has faded to yellow, but is that Larry S's old car?

The rules required a certain percentage of the original body work and chassis to be present. In Larry's car, the central backbone portion of the chassis was present in the cockpit. It was just dropped in and not doing anything other than separating the driver/ passenger sides of the space, but it was there for the inspector.

Regards,
Tim Engel

That's Larry's car. There are essentially no Lotus pieces in it, but I'd buy it if I had not just bought a Seven. There is NO WAY you could build one for that money.
