Looks very clean. Remember seeing a video with Jim Clark "power-drifting" the Cortina at Goodwood.

It's really a Ford.......with some significant Lotus Engineering to make it go properly.

Looks very well restored.

Could you explain how it is a Ford? Drivetrain? Reliable? I think that car is a work of art - love it.

My Saab Sonnett was one of the most enjoyable cars I have ever owned and rock solid reliable. Ford V4 'tractor' engine.

Lotus Cortina - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That does a pretty good job at summing it up.

Yep car at LOG this year looked identical to this one.

He drove VERY slow in the concourse line though.

But it did look pretty

The green on white color scheme is the Lotus Cortina scheme. The Ford Cortinas were blue, etc....

All the Mk 1 cars were Ford Ermine White, the stripe was Citroen Sherwood Green, don't ask why.

The owner tells me that under the hood the only things that are not as per original spec are the top radiator hose clips. the car has had no welding and has no bondo at all, none.

I have had several of these cars back in the UK including on of the very rare special equipment cars. The last one I paid £200.00 for it. I wonder if the guy would take a small profit on it.

One was recently sold at a UK classic car auction for £52,000.00 it was an ex works car that was driven by Jim Clark on the RAC Rally
