just bought my second Eclat, I owned a 77 521 in the uk, now living in BC Canada and have bought a 524 on ebay!!!. I know.

it's been shipped as we speak.

My question, how many other Eclats still out there on the west coat.

Where in BC are you? I'm the reluctant editor of the Lotus Car Club of British Columbia. You may want to join. I'll send you a private message with a link and you can check out our latest club journal. Looking at the 2006 membership, I see four Eclats, 76 to 80. Also about eleven Elites from 74 to 79. I personally wouldn't mind having an Excel, but they were never imported into NA.

Hi Ian,

I'm up in Kitimat BC, I will join the club once I get my hands on the car and can register it fully, I still do not have the VIN etc. I'm expecting it crossing the border this week.

as a said I owned a 521 in the UK, the one I have bought looks as though it could be a hybrid, 1980, 524 but looks to have dellorto's or webber's so I'm guessing it was not a direct export to US. They owner stated it was a 2.2, but we'll see. Certainly looks like an S2 from the outside.

great to hear I'm not alone on the Eclat / Elite front.
