Lotus Silverstar

Has anyone heard of the Lotus Silverstar. Supposedly this will be a new Lotus model headed for the U.S. Some dealers already have them on order. Does anyone have any pictures or specs?

Actually the name I was given was "project silverstar"; thus the name may well be changed when initial U.S. marketing commences. The information was given to me by a current U.S. dealer who asked that I not use his name. He does not seem to have many specifics, but is willing to take deposits for certain customers. I was just wondering if anyone had heard anything, to see if it was worth my time to investigate the issue.

well, then i must be right-coast geographically disadvantaged and therefore haven't seen the light!!!

[as rodney dangerfield used to say to his audience, "...these are known as jokes..." ]

but if it really is a car/project, would like to know more too!

Lotus has many different projects in the works right now. My guess is that Silverstar is actually Silverstone which has been the project name for the MCS (Esprit Replacement). Mike Kimberley has order significant changes to the car so they may have renamed the project but either way, this is what I would put my money on.
