No, it is a different car, propracer keeps his Eleven in Arizona.
The owner of the Eleven you saw occasionally shows up at our sunday drives and Taco Tuesday

No, not me. But there is a similar one to mine in Westlake Village. I believe that is a two-seater though.
My car is in Northern AZ, since the CA DMV apparently has a problem with open exhaust, no blinkers, Dunlop racing tires, no speedo, no horn.

In addition, my stage 4 race motor does not like sitting at traffic lights for extended periods of time. Race gearbox with long 1st gear also implies that you do not want to stop and go a lot.
At my house in AZ, I have one traffic light to get to curvy mountain roads that seem to go on forever.

Enjoy your ride!
I know of a very nice two seater left hand drive 11, BRG with red interior, for sale in your area. If interested, PM me.

I met this gentleman at The Queens English the other weekend, was difficult to hear him but I believe he said this was an original Westfield, 129:135

Now compare this car to the corkscrew pic at thread start. Not one left hand drive 11 in sight...

I went to Barber Motorsports museum and they have 2 of these (the ones on Victory by Design). I think they are way sexier in real life than in pics.
I could not stop staring at them.

Duh and even as a Brit I missed that probably totally misquoted the gentleman too...was definitely something about 129 out of 135.

It is Jan Morgan's car (the one I mentioned earlier), it is an Early Westfield Replica (from the 70's I believe). iirc Westfield built them for a couple of years, but then stopped until the mid to late 90's

No, you were right. The car in your pic is a Westfield 11. And the production number is very close too.
Not too many Lotus 11's were made as left hand drive. The RHD Westfields that are done right, with 15" wire wheels and/or wobbly webbs, Smiths chronometric tach, imitation body rivets, are very hard to distinguish from the original even close up.

But LHD 11's are way cool of course. To me, BRG, RHD just adds more "vintage mystique" to it...as in undeniably "Made In England"!
(I guess now I need to stand up and start playing the british national anthem...)

Thx for clarifying mopho...would hate to misquote!

Judging by the blue curbing and fresh pavement. That is a very recent photo, from Laguna. Would assume it's from the Historic races. Several of them look very familiar. Based on a few old pic., I'd guess 2007. You get to check them out on course and up close and personal in the paddock.

You don't really need those things, so what's the problem?

shay2nak,
you are in the correct frame of mind. Back a few moons ago, one could register anything "fun" here in CA...That no longer is the case unless one wants to spend December 31st waiting in front of the door at the local DMV to be the first on opening day to get one of those waivers....Sorry, I've got parties to attend ..

So, Northern AZ it is, no smog, no questions that can't be answered with a "James Bond" smile...it's kind a like the good ol' days at the track: Run what you brung!!! Gotta love it. In my opinion cars don't need speedometers,..those just scare passengers. Give me a tach with red line marked, oil pressure gauge (water temp. required on stuff "Made in England") and please indicate kill switch and fire extinguisher location..and I'm off. Blinkers are for people behind you (..anybody there??) and open exhaust takes care of any horn necessity (fingers are optional).
Here's my motto: You would not own a Lotus if you wanted to play by the rules...Colin Chapman never did!!
