New pics of the Europa S

Hi Guys,

I haven't seen these posted yet: http://www.eurocarblog.com/post/243/...a-s-new-photos

It does look better in the darker color.

Looks nice. The rear end still reminds me of an Alfa Montreal. Too bad they won't import the car to the US. It is a little more towards the general American market than the Elise/Exige. It ain't cheap though!

RX-8 front, Mustang side, MR2 rear. Doesn't do much for me. Maybe it looks better in person. Won't be in the US anyway so it doesn't directly affect me.

You want to see something really scary though...

Those side sills are still to high for a GT car. But then I guess that's one reason why it's not marketed toward the U.S. market.

Don't think I will be alive long enough to allow that styling to grow on me.

no way! that blue is nice! That's the kind of blue I want. Definitely will look different in the sun, though.

Those tires are way too narrow!! Looks terrible with skinny tires from the front.

Its terrible - being a Lotus fan I want to like it - I really do. it just seems so half ass - and it is - a Proton abortion. If this is what Lotus is going to offer us/Europe in the future after teasing us with the M250 we should all be very afraid.

It almost looks like the next generation Hyundai Tiburon.

I am tempted to photoshop that car to remove 25% of the ugliness. It can be saved. Maybe.

Lotus was smart not bringing the Europa to the US and I'll be really surprised if it does well in Europe. I hate to say this but I would personally pick a Hyundia Tiburon over the Europa if given the choice. The Tiburon has a V6, 6 speed, better interior and it's a third the price. IMO, this car should be sold as a proton only and should not be used to turnish the Lotus Marque. Looks like they've found a new niche as the worlds first "limited production hand made Exotic Economy Car Company."

Lotus SUV? WHAT? AHHH! Have they completely lost their marbles!

It was bad enough when Porsche did it. Back in 1986 when Chrysler owned Lamborghini there was the LM002. But then again Lamborghini started out as a tractor maker. But Lotus, come on!

I sure hope they don't screw up the new Esprit.

I think all they need to do is to redesign the taillights to be smaller (and different shape) and integrate the front turn signals, on the bumper, into the headlight cluster.

Just wait for the Geneva carshow. The Spyker SUV will be unveiled there!

Sounds like the sportscar world is going to hell in a hand-basket.

Why doesn't Lotus stick with what know: Making light, fast, great handling "sports/race cars", not Hyundia knock offs, not Jeeps or Lexus like SUV's. SPORTS CARS!

I also think this SUV fad will be slowing down greatly over the next few years. So from a financial stand point, Lotus may find themselves "a day late and a dollar short."

I guess I am one of the few who actually like it.......I like it alot. Would I buy one?..........it would need a supercharger. At least it has nice mesh vents as opposed to the cheasy plastic on the elise. The front valance looks pretty bad-ass. Also like the side intakes and the wheels.
