Nice Elite at Fantasy Junction

No relation to seller:

1962 Lotus Elite Series 2

It is interesting to see how they constructed the chassis from fiberglass.

Wow.. that one is very nice. Are they considered collector's items? I hope my Elise is worth $75k in 50 years. That'd be nice.

The S1 and S2 Elite pricing always amazes me. It is all over the map. This car is priced at $75K and has some issues that may need to be addressed, or not depending on your wants. One fully prepped racer sold for $43K recently. I know of another that is in pristine restored condition for $65K (I want this one very badly). About a year ago one "older restoration" (which was actually not too bad but had some issues) sold out of CA for $95K.

And, yes, A3X, the type 14 Elites are very collectible (to me at least) but sadly, no, your Elise won't be worth $75K in 50 years.

Run over all of the other Elise currently in existence with a Spyker and maybe, just maybe, in 100 years.

If you feel that way and have never seen one in person, might I suggest that you run the other way as fast as you can if you ever come across one. It only gets much worse if you don't.

I also want one. It is one of the very few hard top cars that I do want.

Especially a series 2 car LHD in light blue or green.

Just need money

I have seen a type 14 Elite in light blue, dark blue, BR green, white, red with silver top, red, white with silver top and a dark mustard yellow/brown (that one just hurt me).

I agree with your color choices 150%.

If I had a car collection this would be one of my top choices. The car just has a beautiful look in every respect. It looks delicate, athletic and sensuous. Very well done Colin!

That's nice.

I wonder if that dark mustard yellow/brown car I saw was really just a pretty yellow all dirtied up.

Unfortunately, it wasn't.
