Type 14 and long legs

I am quite serious about getting an Elite (type 14). Although I've owned 3 of them in the past, it's been quite some time and I'm not as flexible as I was back then. I sat in one RHD version at Mike Ostrov's last week and found it to be quite cramped and awkward in the throttle to brake transition, knees up near the steering wheel.

Mike mentioned that other owners have lowered the seat as well as notched the fiberglass strut tower area to allow the seat to be positioned a little further back.

I’d like to hear from some of you that have done similar modifications. Thx
