Vintage?

So I know of a few people on here who have old Lotuses, but let's see some more! Pics! lolz. There's plenty of Elise and Exige on this site, not to say that they're bad, but let's see some old Lotuses! lol.

OK, here you go!

These two have been sharing garage space with my Elise.

Growing up in the sixties, Lotus was the marque that caught my fancy, winning regularly in Formula One and producing quirky but exciting road cars. I was at a very impressionable age, much as you are now, and have never lost that affinity for Lotus. Hope you don't either!

Wow. I love the color on the Europa, and the Seven also lol. They're both realllly clean. Superbly done restorations?

I dream of having a Europa for a first car, but I doubt it will happen.

I bet they're both blasts to drive. I hope you're having fun!

Here's a pic of my 1970 Elan S4 that had to go to make way for the Elise... I still miss her, but it helped with the down payment.

Is that 7 a Lotus or a Caterham?

Ooo baby.

Tim-I've always loved the colors on that Elan. Nice shade of orange.

Kestrel-240 hp? Jeez lol. That must be as fast (or faster) than the Elise.

I see many things that indicate that this is an S4, but why don't I see headrests?

Because that's all the higher the headrests are in the seats - take a look at the tops of the original seats in my photo.

I've never had mine up in the air like that - then again, I've never had racing tires on mine either...

Maybe it's just my eyes, but I'm not seeing them. I truly believe you though lol. How long did your restoration take?

Yeah, I bought a set of Plus 2 5.5" wheels, but they would only fit on one end (the front, I think). So I had the original wheels widened 1", all to the outside, and ended up with eight 5.5" wheels. I had Phoenix Stahflex 185/60's for the street (very hot tires at the time), and a guy in AutoWeek sold obsolete racing tires every fall, I bought a set of four slicks for under $100. Stuck really good. Probably too good.

I have the three Lotus (or Lotus like) cars. All are very different to drive. The Seven is very raw, the Elan is suprisingly refined and Elise is somewhere in the middle.

In order of aquisition.
The Seven

The Elan

The Elise
