I love the look of the M250.

To me it looks dated. Which it should be as it is an old design.

On the other hand I love the look of the Ferrari Daytona and I think that look is timeless.

That is the problem with going too cutting edge with designs. They sometimes can go either way after a while.

I don't go for that "here's what we thought the future would look like back in the 1970s" kind of design as is displayed by that green thing.

That's the way I feel/felt about the G body Esprit. I used to love the sharp lines, the rear hatch slats, the exaggerated scoops. Preferred it over the Stevens cars.

Now, I think the look is terribly dated and prefer the S Bodied cars. I don't know if my own tastes have changed, the car hasn't aged well, or both.

Yes...sometimes when I see the G body cars, I like it. Other times I like it a lot. Very seldom does it look dated to me...but that is what makes the world go round. Everybody likes their eggs a different way and tastes change as you grow older.

Still the Daytona always looks good to me. I saw my first one in person just a few months ago. Better in the flesh than in pictures.

I would make room in my garage for that. I would want a more aggressive color though.

Photo's of cars in many cases are not as impressive as actually seeing it.
I can think of countless times I have not liked a car from a magazine photo, only to be blown away after seeing it on the road.

Lotus didn't need to go outside it's own history to find influences for the M250. The Elite II which started production in 1974.

This car shared much of its styling with the Elise S2 and Exige S2.
