Won't make the Mitty, just had the Lotus at Road Atlanta last weekend for the Audi HPDE.

This might be worth looking at though, I will only be able to do the Saturday part of the route so if you can't do the weekend, you could maybe do the Dragon:

Only three Lotus guys going so far (including me).......

FYI - A/C update

For all you southern drivers: Now that the weather has been warmer, my '06 a/c wasn't cutting it. It would start out cold, then seem to get warmer as I was driving for more than 10-15 minutes. I checked the position of the temp sensor at the evaporater per the ET post, but it was correctly placed.

Took it in to Lotus of Atlanta and apparently there is a factory bulletin mod that puts additional drain holes in the A/C housing. I suspect the extra humidity overwhelms the stock drain mechanism. Now the a/c is working great. Had to increase the temp knob on my 45 min drive today with the fan on low.

Just wanted to put that out there for anyone who may still be thinking their a/c is inadequate.

That is helpful- I'm taking note, and will mention it on my next scheduled maintenance- Thanks!

Road Atlanta with BMW Club

Is anybody else signing up for the July driving school at Road Atlanta with the BMW club?

It is always more fun when there are other Lotuses running around the track.

Just spoke to my dealer and he said it is by VIN number only, and if it needs it, it will show up when the car is brought in.

Atlanta British Car Day at Berry College

In case you weren't aware, the annual Atlanta British Car Day is this Saturday the 19th. Please join Lotus Limited Southeast for this event. We'll be meeting at 9:30 AM on the northwest side of Atlanta so that we can all caravan together to the show. We'll be meeting off of I-75 at the Delk Road exit. On the east side of the highway there is a Shell station/McDonalds right off the highway. This will give everyone a chance to gas up their car and grab a biscuit. I'll have written directions for everyone in case we get separated.

If you can't make the caravan then please join us at Berry College. Don't forget to pack folding chairs or a picnic blanket, picnic lunch, sun screen, camera and a cooler. I hope that we see a lot of participation from the owners of our classic Lotuses such as the Elites, Elans, Sevens, Europas and Esprits.

Is there a Charlie here who owns a yellow Elise?

I've been riding motorcycle track days with a gentlemen by the name of Lutz who is a friend of a Charlie in the Atlanta area with a yellow Elise.

I've seen a yellow one on GA-400, but haven't seen him in person yet. Didn't respond to my "Spotted!" post, either. He might not be on this forum.

Had a blast on the mountain drive this past weekend guys. Ended up back on there on the Buell the next day

I know some of the others were talking about doing the dream ride for kids this Sat, June 2. I did it last year (the first year for it) and it was a blast. (and I don't even like kids! haha). Well Adam (Titleist1) forwarded me the info for it and I made a post from it here if any of you are interested in attending. I'm about 90% certain I'll go. I had a good time last year and it looks like I have Sat off.

Here is the other thread with the info.
http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/show...390#post701390

I'm sure if one of you Renn Souther's posted they wouldn't mind.

Mark your calendars! LLSE Concourse D'Elegance

WHAT: Lotus Limited Southeast's Concourse D'Elegance

WHEN: Sunday, July 1st - 11 AM until 3 PM

WHERE: Tribble Mill Park in Gwinnett
(2125 Tribble Mill Parkway, Grayson, GA 30017
Use http://maps.google.com/ for directions)
Once in the park just follow the Lotus signs

Time to wash and wax your Lotus! Join us for a few hours of sun and fun. Ballots will be counted around 1 PM and prizes will be awarded in various classes. There will be a small, $10 registration fee for all participants.

Don't think that there's any point in bringing out your car because its not in the best shape? Don't worry about it! You may have the only car in its class and be an automatic winner! Besides, everyone loves seeing all of the wonderful cars that Colin Chapman produced, such as the Seven, Elite, Elan, Europa, Esprit, Elise & Exige.

We have also arranged a covered picnic pavillion near by so we encourage everyone to bring a picnic and a cooler.

Please email me if you have any question.

I will be there as an instructor for BMWCCA. Look for my car, we are usually over near the (expensive) track gas station!!
