Mountain drive pics from today here:

http://autos.ph.groups.yahoo.com/gro...browse/d2ba?c=

My wife isn't much better than my son with the camera

[EDIT] Since Mick's car is still in the break-in stage and couldn't go past 6k RPM, I could usually keep up with him and got this funny pic:

A turtle committed suicide during the course of our trip:

Gridlocked Some kind of local Honda event had the Dragon packed with SLOW motorcycles, we were able to find some low traffic areas for short bursts of fun along the way though......

Hi Mick
The LOA guys pointed you out in the showroom the other day when I was there. I was too "intimidated" to introduce myself at that time but hopefully I will meet you at an event soon. (ok maybe thats the wrong adjective but I didn't want to look like a goon or a dork looking for a handshake since I am not an owner yet...) I am not worthy...

I hope to purchase end of July. Can you add me to the listserv for Atlanta events?

Thanks

Kelly

good service

where in atlanta is a good place to get work done on the Elise? I was trying to avoid the dealer and the inflated prices?? I heard they charge something like 500 just to change the oil.

Does anyone know where a you can get good service at a good price around Atlanta?

I've found the best place to be your own driveway! It doesn't take many tools or much know how to do an oil change. And if you don't know, it's an easy undertaking to learn.

For anyone going to the dealer track day on Saturday, Barry and I will be caravaning there early Saturday morning. If you'd like to join us please meet us at the Waffle House off the Thorton Road exit of I-20 at 8 AM sharp. We'll be leaving soon after that.

I will be there.

Doesn't the track event start at 8AM? or do things not get started until later.

With the time change we should get to the track around 8:30 AM CST. Things will just be getting started by that point.

There's a guy named Evon at America's Service Station on Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Norcross that has quite a lot of experience with exotics, including the Elise. He has done chassis tuning and other work on my car, and is top notch--just make sure you ask for him only.

The one thing I avoid with them is tire changing--they don't have the best equipment. I go to Butler for that.
