Back by popular demand!

Hi guys and gals. My Elise may be gone, but that doesn't mean we can't still go play together in the mountains. That's right, I've put together another Blue Ridge driving event, and you're invited! This one will be Fri-Sun May 18-20, 2007, leaving from Spartanburg SC. Go to this thread for details. Hope to see you there!

I had a great time last year and I'll be in for some/all of it this year. Hopefully my rear window will fare a little better this time

If I can sneak past the Georgia cops to get up there, I'll join in, too.

I will have to make it a point to at least rendezvous at Pisgah Inn or something as you folks pass so closely by. I'm in South Asheville just a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway. I learned to drive on NC 80 35 years ago, dreaming for an Europa.

I may go - just posted my interest on the Cayman board with some questions about whether my logistical plan is stupid.

Roll call!

If you're planning on doing this trip, please PM me with your name, e-mail address and cell phone number. I'll be e-mailing updates from here on out, so you'll need to get me your info to stay in the loop.

It'd also be helpful if you can let me know where you'll be coming from, and the color, year, model, and any mods on your car. Thanks!

Last call

OK, a bunch of you guys who've said you were planning on coming on this trip, or who've asked me in the past if I'd lead another trip, haven't sent me the info requested below. The first e-mail update regarding this trip has now gone out to all participants. If you haven't received it and you're planning on coming with us, you'll need to PM me with this info.

Jared, Anthony, Mick, Andy, Bob, Donna, Scott...are you guys in, or what? Hope you can make it.

I really, really, really did plan on attending this event this year, but it conflicts with another event that I'm involved with. Sorry. Its one of the disadvantages of being president of a car club.

To whomever it is of interest, the Ferrari club of America's Southeast Region is having a big event that weekend in Asheville, NC (@ the Biltmore) and I know that on Friday at about noon they are heading up to the mighty Tail of the Dragon (shudder). I'm not sure what your tentative route is but catching some Ferraris belting it on that piece of road might be fun. Plus I figure the Dragon (shudder) may be one of the few places where an Elise could show a Ferrari how its done.

Ah yes, the mantle of responsiblity does weigh heavily on the shoulders of the chief executive. That's all right Mr. President, it would've been a hassle dealing with all those Secret Service guys on the route anyway.

Seriously, sorry you can't make it. Hope to catch you on the next one!
